TRYING OUT SPLINTERLANDS GAME

Hello splinterlands community, this would be my first post ever to the community so I think it's demanded that I do a little intro. My name is hope with the hive username @ hopestylist and which also happens to be my current name on splinterlands game. I've been procrastinating writing this post but I'm glad I finally put in the effort to do so today and I hope I'm welcomed.

Since this week started, I've been unusually interested in playing the splinterlands game and that is thanks to a few people that motivated me through their contents I read in the past week. I was so excited to start playing splinterlands again but then I made a mistake when I tried buying my spellbook and I don't even know why that is even possible since I paid with my hive account.

I thought getting a spellbook will be easy but I guess not...

I've tried reaching out to @splinterland through telegram but I'm yet to get a good response as to how the problem I'm facing can be resolved. The first time I signed up to splinterlands, I did so using my Gmail account but when I was asked to get my spellbook, I used my hive account to pay for it but somehow it didn't appear in my main account that I've gotten the spellbook and when I tried asking why that was so, I was told that I opened a new account and that alone got me confused.

Well, I'm still waiting for splinterlands to look into it further and tell me what is the best thing to do. While waiting for their response, I was quite worried but then I was determined to start playing splinterlands now so I continued battling even without my spellbook and I'm happy to see that I'm progressing somehow.

In just this week, I've played over 20 games and I'd say my winnings is about 60/40 of my losses and I think that's a good way to start. As you saw in the video, I got lucky twice playing in the bronze 3 and it was fun and exciting. I'm still learning more about how to choose the right cards and also how to understand every Battle rule as that will give me an edge over other players. I believe I'm doing quite well at chosing my cards but moving forward, I'd have limited cards to choose from and that will require me to start renting or buying cards.

There is no room for giving up...

Like I said, the account I'm playing with right now doesn't have a spellbook yet but I'm hoping I'd be able to get the spellbook of the other account transferred to my main account or I'd have no other choice than to get a new spellbook which will cost me another $10. For me that's a lot of money but since I'm quite determined I won't mind taking that chance.

I will keep on waiting until next week and if the problem persistent, I'd just get a new spellbook and forget about the other one but then I'm not happy I got that experience but then I don't want that to discourage me because after all I was the one that made the mistake and not the game. I think this is just a trial for me and I'm not giving in to it because now I'm determined to get involved in splinterlands and be the best I can be in it.

I really do hope to get some advice and guidance because it seems like it's hard to reach out to splinterlands because I was told they have business hours and when it's not business hours one will be left stranded.
