The Bread Bar Danish Pastry

Today, after dinner, I took a stroll at the I Setan Hypermarket. During my visit, they were having an Artisan bread festival. Many counters were selling all sorts of delicious pastries. Luckily because it is near closing, many counters begin to have a buy 1 free 1 offer. So I started checking out what pastry I could buy for breakfast.

After looking around, I decided to buy two Danish Pastries from the Bread bar for only RM16. One is Vanilla Custard Peach Danish, and the other is strawberry cheesecake Danish.

For those who don't know what Danish pastry is, it is a multilayered, laminated sweet pastry in the Viennoiserie tradition. It is thought that some bakery techniques were brought to Denmark by Austrian bakers and originated the name of this pastry. The Danish recipe is however different from the Viennese one and has since developed into a Danish specialty.
