Three types of commemorative coins issued by BNM; RM100 gold proof, RM10 silver proof, and Nordic gold RM1. All three of these coins were legal tender in Malaysia and started selling on the same day as the launch.
The back of the coin displays the face value and one of three popular motifs commonly used in Songket. The gold coins illustrate the Kesuk Kesemak motifs, while the silver coin illustrates the Bunga Bintang motif and the twilight coin illustrates the Bunga Ketola motif.
All these commemorative coins have the same front design. This Songket coin has the same front design with a Songket pattern with the words "Songket Great Heritage Art" and "Songket The Regal Heritage".
