Black market Iberico pork ribs bak kut teh
Today, I had dinner at Black Market restaurant inside the Isetan at KLCC. This Spanish and Red Wine restaurant offers Asian cuisine.
This time, I ordered their bak kut teh set. It costs RM33 per set, with service tax included. The set contains a bowl of bak kut teh with pork meat, a bowl of rice, some fried dough called you char kway and Soy sauce with chopped chilli padi and minced garlic.
For those who don't know what bak ku teh is, it is a pork rib dish in broth popular in Malaysia and Singapore.
The Bak Kut Teh features Iberico pork ribs slow-cooked in a rich, herbal broth for over 8 hours. The broth appears dark and rich, indicating a depth of flavour with a balance of herbal and savoury notes.
The dish is presented on a wooden tray, with all components neatly arranged, giving it a refined, contemporary feel.
It was a wonderful experience eating it, I even get a free ice lemon tea.
