Central Bankers don't (always) know what they are doing by @rmsadkri

image (10).png

With the series of posts on central banks and the interest rates, I may sound like a maniac. That's partly true as this is the first time in my life where I took financial decisions independently. Other users may have faced similar situations in the past. I never had to.
All other economic turmoil, even that of 2008, did not impact me much as I was not leveraged at all. it is not easy to remain sane when your financial decisions are based on certain assumptions and they change overnight.

Thank You, Sam Bankman-Fried by @beggars

Sam Bankman-Fried, the man who singlehandedly crashed a multi-billion dollar cryptocurrency exchange because of his sheer arrogance and incompetence, has been barking like a sick dog of late. I don't mean literally, but he has been talking a lot.
One of the things you are advised to do by your lawyers during a corporate collapse is to say nothing. Anything you say can be used against you in court.
Well, shit for brains, Sam can't stop singing like a canary in a coal mine. His lack of silence and defiance of his legal advice (good legal advice) is a blessing in disguise. We get a front-row seat and running commentary on the demise of FTX.

El Salvador President Reacts To the Mainstream Media's View About Bitcoin by @rezoanulvibes

El Salvador is the first nation in the world to embrace Bitcoin as an official and legal tender.jpeg

El Salvador President Nayib Bukele is the first president who took initiative to make Bitcoin a legal tender. No country dares to take such a step before. El Salvador is the first nation in the world to embrace Bitcoin as an official and legal tender. Many people welcome this initiative and this sets a good example that other countries can follow. People start thinking about crypto in a different way and how it can contribute to the growth and development of a country. It did not take long to see the next country embracing Bitcoin.
The Central African Republic becomes the second country that recognized Bitcoin as a legal tender. Critics start doing their job and keep talking about how bad it could be to put trust in Bitcoin. According to their opinion, Bitcoin is nothing but a bubble that is going to burst soon.

Is FUD Wearing You Down? by @gadrian

not-listening.jpeg

FUD (Fear, Uncertainty, Doubt) is something we all feel from time to time on various subjects.
Fear is a primal instinct. From early human history, it was meant to keep us alive and triggered the automated response of fight-or-flight when humans were under attack by predators.
In our modern societies, fear is mostly associated with stress because we rarely have to fight or flee for our lives anymore.
Uncertainty and doubt are also defense mechanisms. In early history, when they were more helpless against wild animals, humans learned to be cautious when they had doubts. Is a lion hunting us from behind those bushes?
