Good day, Splinterlands family! It has been a while. How is everyone doing?

Lore:

Sailors tell many tales of the dangers of the Cruel Sethropods. Armed with strong pincers and teeth as sharp as spears, they attack anything that gets within range. It is nearly impossible to remove a Cruel Sethropod once it has latched on, and many a sailor has the scars to show where they ventured too close.

Closest word to Sethropod in the Dictionary is Arthropod, which means any of a phylum (Arthropoda) of invertebrate animals (such as insects, arachnids, and crustaceans) that have a segmented body and jointed appendages, a usually chitinous exoskeleton molted at intervals, and a dorsal anterior brain connected to a ventral chain of ganglia

Well, Cruel Sethropod looks like a lobster, which belongs to a crustacean family it looks cruel with its mouth like a leech.

For this week's challenge I used this battle on this link.

Battle Rules

• Only melee monsters can be used.
• All monsters has the sneak ability.
• Only fire, water, and dragon elements can be used with 48 mana cap.

LET'S GET READY TO RUMBLE!

@thong148 have good cards but I think, he did not utilize all the Mana available. Even so, he prepared his deck in a defensive mode. I put the starring card as my tank since he has a high shield for its mana.

I would say Cruel Sethropod is better in a low mana cap battle, with it's high shield and high health for its mana.

ROUND 1

I used Kelya Frendul as my summoner because, of its speed and extra shield. This would give power to my monsters during the battle, especially with the sneak attack ability provided by the battle rule, it would miss most of the enemy's attacks.

MONSTER	ABILITY	STRATEGY
	Trample- when hits and kills a target it will perform another attack to the enemy.	With its ability it has a higher chance to finish most of the enemy in a consecutive manner.
	No special Ability	With low mana, I put this monster as my tank, a prey to the enemy but a great defender in my team.
	Sneak Ability- Attacks the backline first.	Although the battle rules provide the sneak ability, I liked Sand Worm for its high melee damage, a good choice against, and shield ability.
	Dodge- increased chance of evading melee and ranged attacks	Putting this monster at the end is like putting him first because of the sneak attack ability, that would give a high chance of every enemy monster to miss their attacks.
	Piercing- if the shield of the enemy is less than the attack of this card the remainder will go to the enemy's health.	I liked its ability and its high damage, good thing the mana cap of the game also fits him.
	Demoralize- decreases the melee damage of the enemy.	Because of the given rule, this would be the best defensive mode, and decrease the chance of the enemy winning!

During round 1, Diemonshark and Disintegrator did not have much damage to my enemy because of its shield ability, but thanks to my Goblin Mech and Sandworm they pierced thru the enemy's shield because of their high melee damage. The enemy was wise to use both monsters with shield ability.
Luckily, Serpent of Eld served its purpose to miss and evade most of the enemy's attacks.

ROUND 2

Almost all of the monsters are still alive. Even Cruel Sethropod is still kicking Elven defender's butt. The first one to die in this round was Living Lava with the Sand worm's uppercut.🤣

ROUND 3

Serpent of Eld is still around and still missing the enemy's attacks giving me more time to finish the enemy's monsters first. But because of Tenyii Striker he finished my last tank. Thanks to my summoner, my enemy has a higher chance to miss because they cannot equal my speed provided by Kelya Frendul.

ROUND 4

I still have my Cruel Sethropod with me earlier in this round but at the end, Elven Defender defended his team well.😆

ROUND 5

Now, it's four against four. As I ended, Tenyii Striker with Goblin Mech, Serpentine Spy also ended my Sand Worm and it saddens me.

ROUND 6

Goblin Mech finished Serpentine Spy, but my tank could not penetrate the enemy's tank because of Disintegrator. Maybe he thought the same during this times. 🤔

ROUND 7

This round is already obvious, who is at a greater advantage. My monsters repeatedly attacked the enemy until ROUND 9 still having my 3 standing cards.

Yes, my strategy worked. It even took 5 rounds before it was down.😆

WHAT WILL YOU TRY DIFFERENTLY NEXT TIME
Despite of it's low mana and low damage, I would like to pair him up with a healer so that he would remain longer and be a better tank the next time.

DO YOU LIKE CRUEL SETHROPOD? WHY OR WHY NOT?
No, I don't like it because it doesn't have any special abilities.
