Plant a Tree, Plant a Life
Good day everyone! It has been a long week since I posted about my activities in the real world. I have been busy with my work, the bustle and hustle of the city, and urban life.
Living on a farm where I can get my breakfast, lunch, and dinner outside my home has been a dream. A vivid dream must be put into action. For now, I'd like to show you what we did on our farm, with the community we had formed.
"A man doesn't plant a tree for himself. He plants it for posterity." - Alexander Smith
What encouraged you to do the tree planting session?
This wasn't new to me, in fact, I have been planting citrus trees since I was 22 years old when I had my first salary in my job. I bought 50 Calamansi trees and encouraged the same people I will show you later on this blog. Sadly, it was a difficult time when we planted them, there was a lack of water therefore not all of them survived. Currently, I have 4 old Calamansi trees and 3 new ones. I am planning to add them soon.
JMJ Families' Apostolate is a religious group, we go to church and gather for a time then there was a priest who started to plan a tree planting in commemoration of Creation Day last September 1. His intention was to make everyone in the group (those who were gathered, not only us), to internalize God's creation and its effects on us. He once verbalized that he knew some kids who doesn't know what a mango tree looked like. Then he invited every one of us to facilitate tree planting. I took trees from them and brought them to our area at Katanggawan, General Santos City.
What are the trees you planted?
I'd like to share with you the trees with its actual photo but the sad news is, I didn't take a photo of each of them. So I'd like to be honest with this post and grab them online to show you what it looks like.

We had a big mango tree that needs to be cut down because it will damage the electricity line in the future, then we replace it with these trees, to make it more identifiable for the land/area we have.
I am very happy to plant these trees with @xykorlz. Thank you for spending time with me thru these activities. Glad to have found someone I could share this with.
Other than that, I'd like to share my thanks to the constant group I have had from 2015 until now, growing up with you guys and knowing how you have grown is such a blessing, and also to my family who was with me throughout my life. And last and the best to God, who provided everything we have. 😇❤️
Thank you hive garden for this opportunity to share with you my day. 😊
Here's a video of the things we did that day. 😊
