Loud celebrations on Gandia Day (Spain)/ Celebraciones ruidosas en el Día de Gandia (España)/🎉🎈🥂🎉

Let me remind you that my name is Lina and I love to write various posts, stories and books.

However, lately I have lost my discipline and haven't written anything for a long time.

I had no inspiration for some time, and then I had problems with the internet and a cumbersome move with a lot of heavy boxes.

By the way, some of them have not been unpacked yet and are still standing in the middle of the apartment. This also takes time.

So, of course, for my inspiration, I need your attention and support for my posts.

For my part, I will try to make them interesting, colourful and illustrated with photos from my own small but memorable travels.

I am originally from Ukraine.

Currently, I am temporarily living in a small but cosy Spanish town in Spain - Gandia.

I should note that I have always been intuitively accustomed to trusting my own feelings when it comes to choosing a place to live, and this town has been a favourite of mine since my first visit.

So we can say that it was a kind of love at first sight and first meeting. I hope it still happens in the modern world, and not only in the matter of choosing housing)))

However, let's get to the point.

Yesterday, Gandia gave its residents, including me, a lot of fresh and vivid impressions, because yesterday the city celebrated its day.

I would like to point out that the celebration of such high-profile holidays in Spain is incredibly loud, interesting and large-scale.

As is customary, we prepare for the holiday in advance.

It all started when my daughter was told to buy a drum for school two Sundays before the holiday.

Not really knowing what it was all about, we just bought a ready-made drum in a shop nearby, and on the Friday before the weekend, a costumed drumming procession began around the city, as if to announce the start of the holidays.

At the same time, interesting fairs were opened in the city, located in the colourful narrow streets of our town, lavishly decorated with flags and neon lighting.

At these fairs, you can buy the most diverse and intricate things, amulets, jewellery, handmade soap, decorative baskets, pirate souvenirs and various delicacies.

How can you go without them at such a large-scale celebration?

At least 3 stages for various concerts and events have been set up next to the fair, calling the townspeople to come out and join the mass celebration.

However, our photos, which we took tirelessly throughout the walk, will tell the best story about our adventures.

I would like to add that many museums and other historical monuments of the city are open during these holidays, so I hope to continue our cognitive journey today to get to know our new town better.

Permítanme recordarles que mi nombre es Lina y me encanta escribir varios posts, historias y libros.

Sin embargo, últimamente he perdido la disciplina y llevo mucho tiempo sin escribir nada.

No tuve inspiración durante algún tiempo, y luego tuve problemas con internet y una engorrosa mudanza con un montón de cajas pesadas.

Por cierto, algunas de ellas aún no se han desembalado y siguen paradas en medio del apartamento. Esto también lleva su tiempo.

Así que, por supuesto, para inspirarme, necesito vuestra atención y apoyo para mis posts.

Por mi parte, intentaré que sean interesantes, coloridos e ilustrados con fotos de mis pequeños pero memorables viajes.

Soy originaria de Ucrania.

Actualmente vivo temporalmente en Gandía, una pequeña pero acogedora ciudad española.

Debo señalar que siempre he estado intuitivamente acostumbrada a confiar en mis propios sentimientos a la hora de elegir un lugar para vivir, y esta ciudad ha sido una de mis favoritas desde mi primera visita.

Así que podemos decir que fue una especie de amor a primera vista y primer encuentro. Espero que siga ocurriendo en el mundo moderno, y no sólo a la hora de elegir vivienda)))

Pero vayamos al grano.

Ayer, Gandia dio a sus residentes, incluyéndome a mí, un montón de impresiones frescas y vívidas, porque ayer la ciudad celebró su día.

Me gustaría señalar que la celebración de fiestas tan señaladas en España es increíblemente ruidosa, interesante y a gran escala.

Como es costumbre, nos preparamos para la fiesta con antelación.

Todo empezó cuando le dijeron a mi hija que comprara un tambor para el colegio dos domingos antes de la fiesta.

Sin saber muy bien de qué se trataba, compramos un tambor ya hecho en una tienda cercana, y el viernes anterior al fin de semana comenzó una procesión de tambores disfrazados por toda la ciudad, como para anunciar el comienzo de las fiestas. 🎉🎈🥂🎉🎈🥂🎉🎈🥂

Al mismo tiempo, se abrieron interesantes ferias en la ciudad, situadas en las coloridas callejuelas de nuestro pueblo, profusamente decoradas con banderas e iluminación de neón.

En estas ferias se pueden comprar las cosas más diversas e intrincadas, amuletos, joyas, jabón hecho a mano, cestas decorativas, recuerdos piratas y diversos manjares.

¿Cómo prescindir de ellos en una celebración a tan gran escala?

Junto a la feria se han montado al menos 3 escenarios para conciertos y eventos diversos, llamando a la gente del pueblo a salir y unirse a la celebración multitudinaria.

Sin embargo, nuestras fotos, que tomamos incansablemente durante todo el paseo, contarán la mejor historia de nuestras aventuras.

Me gustaría añadir que muchos museos y otros monumentos históricos de la ciudad están abiertos durante estas fiestas, así que espero continuar hoy nuestro viaje cognitivo para conocer mejor nuestra nueva ciudad.
