PERSONALITY BRANDING: "Sale YourSelf First"!.....

In One of my recent post i made a vivid description of Tony Elumelu, a very robust business man i so much admire, there are many reasons to this fact but most importantly is his Personality Branding......

Personality branding is the actual process of intentionally defining and promoting yourself, your values, skillset and experience to create a distinct identity in the business and corporate world, it is creating a unique image of who you are, what you represent, what you can offer, the aim is to create a narrative about you, that is compelling, accurate, factual and coherent, this opens you up to new opportunities, improve your confidence, stamina, courage to manned up and take higher responsibility

Few weeks ago was my convocation ceremony, and i intentionally had to go up to a photo studio to take a clean studio photo, even when this was way beyond my budget, i didn't just do that because of fun i did that because of my personality branding....

I am particularly intentional about my public image, the reason been that i understand the place of personality branding, my image is a representative of who i am, what i offer, my values, my skillset, my morals and intellect, so i'm very careful about what i put out there, these has affects how i dress, talk, walk and relate with everyone, listen many public figures and celebrities who actually understand this can sue any entity with deformation of character, why because their image represent their character which is who they are....

When you see brands, companies, industries using a public Figure or a celebrity's image on their product, to boost sales and increase production that is only made possible because the personality involve was intentional about it, the endorsement deals, contract all come about as the result of personality branding, who they portray to the public of who they are, what they represent had earned them certain stance and honours.

This is were most business men and women get it all wrong, business is far beyond buying and selling a product and (or)services, its far beyond what we literally see it to be, this is the reason why packaging is a very strong determinant of a product's price.

There is a young man in my area who dresses like a bank manager, from top to bottom completely suited up to hawk Agidi calls it Educated Agidi, that is like very common, local street food here, that is usually sold by teenagers in just normal dress but this matured man will package himself so well and hawk this walking long distance to sale, and he makes a lot of sales from that, receiving contracts to supply hundreds of that to many occasions and ceremonies, by redefining his outlook, packaging himself is what open doors of opportunities of his uprising to another level.

This is just a simple logic to how it all works out, when you are intentional about creating an authentic unique image of yourself to the public, this adds value to your offerings wether a product or services, your personality branding is what appeals to their taste and preferences.
