THE MIND CHANGER
Before I got admission into studying at the University of Gombe which is the Northern part of my country, there is this general notion that I grew up with which was everyone in the North is of the same faith and lacks little or no exposure. Fortunately for me, my brother was posted to the State for there for National service. Then I was about to apply for jamb for the 3rd time, so he encouraged me to apply to the university. I agreed with him to do so. When I got to the state I waited for a few days before the post-UTME day.
Here is what changed my mindset
I got to the state and sat for the post UTME exams, when the result came out I performed very well. As time progressed admission list came out behold place that is easy to get admission became hard for me to get, the sed and the third lists follow-nothing for me. I can't count the number of times I cried, on the day I met my friend who understands the language and discuss how to go and see the VC of the school. When we got there we met with the VC's secretary so he saw my result and promised that I should go back and set for another UTME and come back with the result which I did.
From this, I learned that even though you are the best at a thing should not make you relax without doing a follow-up.
- You must know someone to get help from the person
- Don't take anything or anyone for granted.
These three points have shaped the way I view things and it's still helping me. Even a child has a thing to offer, also most of the favor I enjoy is from people don't know.

Hmmm! Do not take anyone or anything for granted. If something is indeed very important to you then you must not relent in your pursuit of it. You could have just stayed back home and cried yourself out but you knew you deserved the admission and so you went after it the best way you knew how. Taking charge in life is very important and it takes us really far in life.
Yes my dear. That's the way forwrd

God knows the best for you. Even with follow up, God must show you mercy.

My dear, that's true
Yeah, it is quite easy to relax on our haunches after we believe we have done all we are meant to do. Instead, we should keep on going after it until we get it finally.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
