Let's prepare delicious "jackfruit kottu" made from jackfruit for a very nutritious meal.
Hello dear hive friends,
Good night to all hive friends, how are you? Jackfruit is a versatile tropical fruit that not only delights the taste buds but also provides many health benefits and it is correct to say that it is a vegetable. Jackfruit can be prepared in various ways. Also rich in dietary fiber, vitamins and minerals, it contributes to digestive health and overall well-being. In our country, this is also known as the rice plant. It can be added to the main meal that can be eaten instead of rice. So, I would like to share with you how I make "jackets". Adding a variety of vegetables to it further enhances the nutritional profile of the dish. And adding vegetables to this ensures a diet that supports overall health. So let's see how to make this.
Required Ingredients...
🍀 Remove the seed and cut the jackfruit into small pieces 500g..
🍀 A finely chopped carrot.
🍀 Finely chop some onion leaves.
🍀 1 onions, finely chopped.
🍀 A little crushed ginger and garlic.
🍀 1 Egg
🍀 Salt as required.
🍀 A pinch of cinnamon.
🍀 1 teaspoons of pepper powder.
🍀 1 teaspoons of chili powder.
🍀 1 teaspoons of crushed chili powder.
And curry is needed to prepare this "jackfruit kotthu". The ingredients needed for that.
🍀 Kattawa dry fish 50g
🍀 onions, finely chopped.
🍀 A pinch of cinnamon.
🍀 A few onion leaves.
🍀 1/2 teaspoons of chili powder.
🍀 1/2 curry powder.
🍀 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric.
🍀 2 cup of coconut milk.
🍀 2 tablespoon of Coconut oil
Method of making;
First, put the cut jackfruit pieces in a rice cooker and boil for about 10 minutes.
Next, take a cooking vessel to prepare the dry fish curry. While the jackfruits are boiling, add dry fish, chili powder, turmeric powder, chopped onion, and curry leaves. Pour coconut milk into the mixture, stir well, and place it on the stove.
Afterward, let the dried fish curry and jackfruit mixture simmer for about 10 minutes, then remove it from the stove.
After that, finely cut the carrot, onion leaves and onion and keep it in a separate plate.
Then take a large cooking pot and put two table spoons of clean coconut oil in it, heat it, add crushed ginger, garlic and fry for about a minute, add chopped salt, curry leaves, cinnamon and mix well.
Then add an egg, chopped carrot and crushed chili powder to it and mix well.
Then add boiled jackfruit pieces, onion leaves and about a cup of dry fish curry to it and mix well. Remove from heat after one minute.
Now this delicious dish is ready. Besides, "jackfruit Kottu" can be customized to suit the food taste. For those following a plant-based or vegetarian diet, this can be prepared without adding eggs or dry fish. This dish offers a satisfying alternative to traditional kottu. Finally, "jackfruit Kottu" made from jackfruit is not only a delicious delight but also a celebration of nutrition that can be savored with the family. So I'll meet you with a new dish.

This is a delicious and nutritious dish made from jackfruit. Kottu is the Sri Lankan name.
Also known as Kattava Fish / Theera FISH. Dried fish was used for this. Thanks for the comment @noemilunastorta
Interesting combination, I have never eaten fried Jackfruit, always raw as a sweet fruit 👍
