The Two Characteristics That Distinguish Goblin Shaman
Hello splinterlords and splinterladies, how are you today? I just opened splinterlands blog and i saw this week's challenge.
Goblin shaman is not a new card to me, I have been using this card for a long period of time. Goblin shaman is a fire monster with an awesome ability that makes it different from other monsters.
Shaman vulnerability is what made me not to use it frequently in battles. Its small health makes me not want to use it every time. It can be destroyed with just an attack: this is the reason it is not good to use when mana are much, i called this monster into battle when mana are small such as 20-26 mana.
One day I needed 9 points to reach the top 25. I selected this monster with the aim of removing one health from all enemy’s monsters so that I may have advantages over my opponent. The first monster that serpentine of my opponent targeted was a goblin shaman. Goblin shaman was destroyed with one attack that ruined my game plan.
That was how I lost the top 25 and I went back to 42 position in the leaderboard. I never near 25 again.
The highest health of goblin shaman is 6 and that can be gotten in the level 10. At level one, it has 2 speeds; at level 2, the speed increases to 3. From level 3, 4 and 5 its speed changes to 2. At level 6, it has 3 speed and from level 7 to 10, it has 4 speed. Goblin shaman's highest magic attack is one .
THE TWO CHARACTERISTICS THAT DISTINGUISH GOBLIN SHAMAN
Instead of using abilities here, I used characteristics. Goblin shaman has only two abilities from level 1-10. These abilities are very unique and special to me. Though, I did not have it together in goblin shaman because my goblin shaman is in level 3 but combining creepy ooze with goblin will give me these abilities. The abilities are:
Weaken: weaken ability is no longer new to us but very powerful in some battles. This ability is needed to reduce the health of all enemy monsters so that you can have advantages over it. I frequently used this ability in a battle that has small mana so that with just one attack, my monster will destroy opponent monsters.
Slow ability: in the recent season, i was paired with many players that used zaku as summoner. I lost battles with zaku more than 10 times in a row: i went to a chatting platform seeking help about how i can defeat zaku. One of the players said I should use a returning fire monster but my problem is that I only have a level one lir deepswimmer which is not good to battle in silver1 level.
someone also said i should use creepy ooze; i used creepy ooze as he said. Fortunately for me, I was paired again with someone that uses yodin zaku, creepy ooze helped me to reduce the speed of the player. The good side of it was that most of my monsters attacked first before my opponent’s monsters attacked which made me win the battle after several defeats by different players using yodin zaku.
The slow ability is very important in some battles, but also not important in some battles such as the reverse speed rule. The day I made a mistake choosing creepy ooze in reverse speed rule, I was defeated hands down.

LINEUP
LIVING LAVA: What more should i use, living lava is one of the most trusted monsters i have. The shield ability makes me call for it every time. Despite the Spineback turtle with thorn ability, it was just a little effect against living lava: the thorn ability could not affect living lava so much the way it affected Fineas Rage. Throughout the battle, living lava was not destroyed.
This is one of my fastest battles for over 3 weeks now. Within a few seconds the battle was concluded.
Fineas Rage: this is the first monster to attack. It attacked spineback turtle and the thorn ability damaged 2 health of fineas rage.
The speed and melee of Fneas Rage was the main reason for selecting it. I knew it would be very functional in this battle and the speed would be a big advantage for me. Four melee attacks was instrumental to my winning because one attack simply means 4 health is damaged from opponent monsters.
Furious Chicken: the reason for placing it between fineas rage and goblin shaman was to protect shama from blast ability. My thought was that, if fineas rage is eliminated, the blast ability would not affect shaman because it was not the third monster. Unfortunately, opportunity monster was among my opponent lineup which attacked the furious chicken and the blast ability affected both shaman and fineas rage.
Goblin Shaman: the monster for this week did a wonderful job. You might say that it does not attack like fineas rage and living lava but it made the battle very fast by reducing the health of all opponent monsters. It wouldn’t have been very easy for me if goblin shaman did not reduce the health of opponent monsters.
In conclusion, my opponent made a mistake by choosing two sneaky monsters when sneaky monsters are not needed in the battle according to the rule. I also make such mistakes sometimes due to many factors.
In fact the moment I saw my opponent lineup, I did not bother to watch because of his monsters; I concluded that he won until I ended the battle and saw that I was the winner.
my strategy worked just the way i planned and like goblin shaman because of its weaken ability and magic attack.
goblin is one of my choice monster especially when small mana is giving. i love to use it and i will continue using it.
