Another weekly Woodpeckers Update
Evening all
Time for the weekly update on the Hive Woodpeckers
The workshop is still an absolute mess, but it is starting to get a little bit cleaner. I do have power back now though which is amazing. No more torch banded to my head!
That bloody thing was awful to wear but now it's in a draw away and hopefully won't be coming out any time soon!
Onto a plus side, I finally got a chance to use my new drill/driver. It is 1000 times better than my cheap old drill that I burnt out. But damn this thing is a beast! Like seriously really powerful.
The issue I now have is the drill bits I own aren't strong enough so that is now on the buy list. Way too much is making it's way onto this bloody list!
New updated buy list so far is as follows:
A New sander. I am trying to decide if I try another belt sander (hopefully I'll make it out alive) or a random orbital sander.
A new detail sander. I have one that I am borrowing but it is pretty rough and eats sandpaper up for fun.
New drill and screwdriver bits. This has bumped it's way up the list as I have snapped half the box in one day using the new drill.
A SDS drill. I plan to erect a new partition wall in the workshop and seal it better. This is in the hope that I can contain the sawdust better. The SDS drill will make my life so much easier for sure.
Newest additions to the workshop
A new shelf!
Ok this isn't really that exciting but we now have somewhere for the 15 odd boxes of screws that we own!
So many bloody screws, I didn't realise just how many we had.
More shelves will be going up this week I hope as I need somewhere for all the clamps I own/plan on buying.
Other bits
If anyone has any funding ideas please let me know, we are really lacking equipment and materials now so any help you can provide I appreciate. Onwards and upwards to the full reopening and recommencement of the woodworking program.
A big thanks to @bitcoinman who's been a great help and also @stickupcurator, @brosonleo and @raymondspeaks for being awesome and helping support me through this project so far.
