Images and Ideas Challenge, Hive to be won and an update

Last round only got one entry and to be honest, it's been very quiet in the community anyway, so this round we'll do something a bit different.

First a quick announcement that the due to the low activity in the community these last few months, OCD have made the decision to remove us from the incubation programme, which is a fair decision. This doesn't mean that quality posts can't still be nominated by their curators, but the community posts will no longer be supported. Despite this, the team has decided to continue to promote our contributors as best we can. A big thank you to the mods, @mipiano and @kattycrochet for this. I, @minismallholding, will also continue to try and work on things here when the time permits.

So onto the challenge for this round.

One of the subjects that is most looked for in a stock image is people. Unfortunately, due to permissions being needed from the models if they are recognisable in the image, it's been a hard subject to get images on. However, we have started getting some and I have recently been compiling them for an index post. Many of our photographers have found clever ways to include people in their images while keeping within legal parameters. For some it's using themselves as the model as @nioberojas has done in many of her submissions. Others take the photos from behind, in silhouette or zoomed in so that the human touch is there, but the models aren't recognisable.

Do you think you can get people into your stock images? If so, we would love to see them and include them in the indexes. If you enter the challenge please remember to add the link under this post and also tag @minismallholding in your comment. That way I will be more likely to find them before the voting window closes.

How it works

The challenges will run every two weeks. Each round we will have a topic or two for our contributors to try their hand at. We invite everyone to give their feedback on any entries and the best one will win Hive. Meanwhile, we ask anyone who has been looking to use images to tell us what they are looking for in the comments on this post and these suggestions will be put forward as the challenge topics for future competitions, with the suggesting account added as a beneficiary of that challenge post. They will also be invited to judge any entries and pick their favourite submission. If they also choose to use a submission, then all the better. You don't have to be currently looking for images to suggest them, you can suggest anything you may have used or wanted to use in the past or that you think might be in demand.

We invite people to add an upvote to their favourite suggestions and this will play a part in which ones will be selected first for the next challenge.

Rules

• No plagiarism (obviously).
• Think quality. Will someone want to use your image if it's blurry or badly laid out? Low quality posts will be muted in the search feature
• Make sure you're tagging your submissions correctly.
• Make sure your images fall within legal restrictions for stock images.
• Submit your entry links in a comment on this post, so we don't miss it.
• All images are accepted, not just photographs, as long as they are your own.

We have Hive for the winning entries. All quality entries will be nominated for curation if they aren't already well rewarded. Votes will be given on all good suggestions for images, with the chosen suggestion/s added as a beneficiary on the next challenge post.
