LeoFinance Contest - 500 LEO tokens in Prizes! - HBD Savings & LinkBuilding

In the spirit of my endeavours to increase traffic to LeoFinance with optimized content, I came up with the idea of a contest after hearing about it from @cflclosers. I know that we've been on the same page in the past as well, but I figured it was about time to make something happen.

I recommend everyone to take a look at this post: How To Make Your Post POP On Search Engines! to get a better understanding of link building and what the entire purpose of this contest is. The main purpose is to draw traffic to my post and not to your own, and that is done through link building.

It takes a long time to see results on search engines, so we're building links towards my post for more organic visibility, with hopes of higher rankings for specific keywords over time.

The keywords to target is basically what I want people to write about, in various ways you can think of, but I want these keywords to include a link to my previous post: Best Way To Earn Interest On Crypto with, or without the use of anchor links to that post.

Example:

You write a post about the Top Stablecoins and you make a list of 5 different stablecoins. You mention "Hive Backed Dollars" and "HBD Savings" in your post and include a link to my previous post.

You can link to that post under "Why HBD savings", or "Best Stablecoin" or "Top Stablecoins" exactly as shown in these examples.

That being said, you do not have to use the exact title of my post when you link back to it, but each entry in this contest must include a link to my previous post.

You do not have to include all of the keywords. One of the keywords in the list above is efficient enough. The most important part is how you write your posts and that you include a link to my post.

Like stated in the title of this post. There will be 500 LEO tokens in prizes and 8 winners in total.

You have until May 31, to post your entry to the challenge. I will review each entry and send all the prizes no later than June 5. This gives everyone a fair chance to enter the contest and it gives me room to review each entry without having to rush any results.

People need to be willing to SEO their content. Tips help but I see many still posting with no headers or without any links in their posts.

Most people will probably never even try to optimize their content because it sounds difficult or confusing. That's actually a "bonus" of this contest, that people can jump in, try, and eventually understand that it's not that difficult to do some minor optimization.

HBD or Hive Backed Dollars is the stablecoin on Hive blockchain, so yeah. It's a stablecoin. It's our stablecoin.

Let's see how it goes. I think something like this could yield pretty decent results over time and I wouldn't mind doing more of these contests moving forward. But we'll see how this goes first.

Haha yeah, I don't know about that.. But it's worth a shot. :D

According to simpleanalytics, my post has generated 210 page views from Google since I published it 19 days ago, so it will be fun to see the outcome. It hasn't ranked properly yet and with supportive posts it might turn out really good.

Time will tell. :)

I look forward to seeing all the articles on stable coins and HBD. I don't know if I will have the time to make this post and my other SEO type post that I wanted to make is still half done. So I don't think I'll participate this time around as I got my hands full commenting.

A terrific initiative. I hope many enter it and take the suggestions to hear. Doing the little things to optimize our Leofinance content is vital.

One of the things we all can do is to link to other Leofinance article in our content.

Adding one or two links is can help a great deal over time.

I would say at max link only 2 or 3. Too many links in a post is not a great practice.

Well, I think @finguru has a good point in general. We don't want to see a post with 250 words and 50 of them are links to various posts. That doesn't look good.

However, you could easily include 5 or even 10 links to other posts, as long as they are very relevant, and if the post is of "decent length" so to speak.

"Keyword stuffing" or placing a bunch of links to a bunch of random posts doesn't look good and will do nothing good in terms of rankings either. Meaning, those attempts are pretty much useless and a waste of time.

If you look at my previous post:

You'll see that I have included a total of six links. The post is what we call "informational", but it is also what we call "a support post" to my "main article".

Some would say that it's too many links and others are likely to say that it's totally fine. In my own personal opinion, I think it's fine, as long as the links are very related to things I am talking about.

That being said, I wouldn't do this in all of my posts, at all times.

That's a great question!

While I would love to track the actual results in terms of traffic etc, it's impossible due to the time it takes for search engines to rank content. So, I can't pick winners based on traffic (as that requires ranking).

I also know that most people are strangers to SEO and that the majority of the people never have optimized content previously, so it would be unfair to just look at the actual optimization of the posts.

With those things in mind, I am more likely to look at the structure of the posts, the information within, internal linking (how the links to my post (and other posts?) are done) and after that, I will pretty much just have to make a rough guesstimation for what the potential results might be and pick winners based on those things.

5 years this has been happening to me, it started here, around people that are still here. Homeland security has done nothing at all, they are not here to protect us. Dont we pay them to stop shit like this? The NSA, CIA, FBI, Police and our Government has done nothing. Just like they did with the Havana Syndrome, nothing. Patriot Act my ass.
