The #RookieTrader Is BACK (Thanks To ByBit)!
The last time I posted a Bitcoin exchange-trading video was in September 2021. I had just worked out how to set up leveraged future trades on Stormgain.com without risking your own "out of pocket" funds (by harvesting BTC from their on-site miner).
Just as the prospect of Bitcoin riches with zero downside risk seemed to shimmer on the horizon, Stormgain notified me that they no longer accepted clients living in my country of residence.
So that was that. The #RookieTrader had been dreaming of drinking the waters of comfort. He awoke to a mouthful of dry sand.
Two years later... the #RookieTrader is back, thanks to Bybit...
I set up an account yesterday and sent over 0.005 BTC (about $130) from my Freebitcoin wallet and completed two actions today:
(1) a $40 spot BTC/USDT long position,
(2) set up my first BTC/USDT spot-grid trading bot with the remaining $90.

Very good videos @hirohurl, especially I liked the one about how to trade risk-free in StormGain. I'm also using it. Good advice to separate the income from mined coins to the wallet. Thank You for the advice.
You're welcome @bizmanest - good luck with StormGain. I like that platform a lot. The video is two years old now, but if nothing has changed on the site, the mining feature gives you a nice opportunity to try out some leveraged trades without risking your own funds.

Thanks Ben! My bot made a micro-purchase on a little dip over night... so that's the first automated trade so far. It automatically puts in place a sell order after a purchase (and vice-versa).

Great info, David! I haven't dealt with either of those websites yet, but I really like that Bybit doesn't use KYC! I'm interested to hear how your trading bot does! 😁🙏💚✨🤙
I will keep you posted about the trading bot. I intend to make more videos about what I'm learning, but since I jumped in the market has gone quiet again and so the bot has only made one trade and that was 3 days ago now! LOL!

Bitcoin has gone back to sleep after the recent drop! Now I see that I set my first bot grids too widely apart for such a market. The takeaway for me is to define more clearly what my goals are for any bot I set up in the future.
