Snowy landscapes of Baralacha Pass (4850 m)
This #winterchallenge started by @worldmappin...it seems it has started for me only because I have travelled so much in winters that even if I write a post about snowfall every day, my content will not end. Winters have come and brought snow with them. I am enjoying, it is just difficult to write blogs due to lack of time, even now I am writing this blog while travelling in the car.
In yesterday's blog you read how I crossed the world's famous highway known as Manali-Leh. If we had filled the petrol tank from Tandi yesterday, we would have been somewhere near Sarchu today. We are very sad about crossing Baralacha yesterday, so we will again set out on this epic highway today.
So we wake up comfortably, freshen up and holding the hand of the first rays of the sun, we cross the Atal Tunnel. As soon as we enter Lahaul, the geographical scenery, wind, cold and mountains change suddenly. The height here is high and it is also quite cold. Cold wind blows here all the time, which is impossible to avoid. After crossing the tunnel, we get fuel from Tandi Petrol Pump, now we will find a petrol pump after about 430 km from here.

After crossing Keylong, Darcha, Petsio and Zingzing Bar, we finally reach the place from where we had returned yesterday. There is a lot of snow all around here, some machines have worked hard to move all the snow to the side of the road, due to which we can reach our destination. We are very happy to see this snowy environment, like a small child I scream a lot as if my voice will reach the ears of nature.
The Baralacha pass which is located at an altitude of 4850 meters is submerged in snow today and we are not able to see it at all. Once we get down at 4850 meters, we enjoy the surrounding views and click some photos and move ahead. Today we reach Bharatpur Tent Colony and stay late. We will stay here tonight and then move ahead tomorrow morning. Today's blog will end here and we will share the rest of the journey with you.
