It was a 2 week long travel in Indian Himalayas

2 October 2023, I don't remember how many days have passed since I came to Solang Valley. This time I have never seen as many challenges as I have seen in Solang Valley. Firstly, it has become a very difficult challenge for the local people to recover from the devastation caused by the monsoon. People lost their lives, who knows how many trees were broken, who knows how many animals were swept away in the flood, who knows how many vehicles became part of the river and went off the road, who knows where.

Even after all this, the courage of the local people is visible, now again in collaboration with the government, the local people have taken steps towards development. I saw the scene of devastation and to tell you the truth, I do not want what happened to be repeated again. It's been about 10-12 days since I roamed around in this valley and today I am going to write about this journey in this post.

First of all I went to Vasistha Temple, where there is also a hot water pond. There is also a temple of Lord Ram here. This place is said to be about 5000 thousand years old. Above this village there are pine forests where wild animals live in abundance. The next stop was Mori Dug, from here a walking path also goes to Bhrigu Lake. Sage Bhrigu had performed penance on Bhrigu Lake about 3500 thousand years ago, since then this place has become sacred in the eyes of the locals. Today people come from far and wide to visit this lake, the altitude here is 4250 meters.

From here we went on foot to Kothi Top, the height of Kothi Top is 3400 meters. The top of Patalasu Peak is visible from here. Climbing a 12 km long hill is no sport. There is an elevation gain of 1200 meters in this climb. Here I met Gurjars who rear cows and buffaloes, and people who rear sheep and goats, who are called Gaddis. Green grass, pine trees and different types of colorful flowers made my day more beautiful. From here, a spectacular view of Solang Valley and Pir Panjal mountain range is visible.

After visiting here, we went to Beas Kund, which is famous because in history, Rishi Beas had performed penance here. This pond is the origin point of river Vyas. Like the locals, I also worshiped here and prayed for world peace. From here one gets a very sacred view of Friendship and Hanuman Tibba Peak. If the weather is clear then a 6000 meter high mountain is visible which is called Diya Tibba. There is a group of 7 mountain peaks together on which the sun is now shining, this group is called seven sisters.

Apart from here, I visited Anjani Mahadev Temple, Jogini Waterfall, visited Manali, visited Kothi, went to Barua village, Palchan village, did not see the Beas passing through Kullu, saw the British Bridge... apart from these there are many other small places.
