I went to visit India's best paragliding site for 2 days

Bir-Billing is very famous for paragliding all over India. The World Cup of Paragliding has also been organized here. From here the Dhauladhar mountain range is clearly visible. There are tea gardens here. Snow falls on Billing mountain, just 16 km from here. A very beautiful sunset is visible from Beed and lakhs of tourists come here every year.

Bir is the landing site for paragliding and Billing, which is just 16 km from Bir, is the take off site. The height of Beed is 1350 meters while the height of Billing is 2400 meters above sea level. This is a tourist place, it is very crowded during the season but still I like this place very much.

I love the small villages located around Beed. These villages can be reached on foot. These villages situated in the Himalayan region are so small that the population of some villages is only 20. This walk from village to village is so amazing that it was worthwhile for me to come here.

Bir is located about 585 km from Delhi, I reach Baijnath by bus which is 565 km from Delhi. Bir is about 20 km away from Baijnath for which I take a local bus. The local bus takes an hour to reach me in Bir. The bir is looking very pleasant in the sunlight. I keep my bag in the room and leave.

A very beautiful view of Ahju valley is visible from Gurhid village. Ahju Ridge is visible in front, which further meets Ghatasni mountain and from there goes further to Manali. Wheat has been sown in the fields, the locals have only one fear and that is unseasonal rain. If it rains, the entire crop will be spoiled. On the way, we come to the temple of Kelang Devta where we move forward with folded hands.

While walking, I visit villages named Beed, Ahju, Gurhid, Upper Beed, Kotli and Chaugan. That's a different matter, I don't click many photos but the few I do are enough to show the beauty of this place. Dhauladhar mountain range is also visible from some villages. There is snow on Dhauladhar and there are a lot of clouds too. While returning, I also click a photo of Deer Park Monastery.

Before evening, I come to the room and rest and get busy in an upcoming event. Well, this is just such a short journey. That's all for today, see you in the next blog where I will again take you to a Himalayan village. Till then take care of yourself and keep smiling.
