A Love Letter to the Mountains: A Journey of Wonder and Connection

Travelling 1850 kms becomes worthwhile when you get what you went for. The big thing is that it is not possible to see the high mountain ranges unless the weather or say nature does not want it. The heavy rain that fell overnight had shattered my hopes, the temperature had dropped to -3 degrees at night. The view is a far cry, now even the road was not clearly visible due to the dense fog, but the faith in nature still remains.

When you truly believe in your actions, I feel that nature also supports you, the same happened when I got up at 04:30 in the morning and went out at a height of 3636 meters, I was surprised and my eyes were wide open seeing the view outside. The redness of the sun was spreading on the horizon in such a way as if a team had painted the horizon with pink and red colours in their hands.

My eyes made the space between me and the many valleys of the 8000 meter high mountains disappear. In a moment, my eyes captured the Everest in my mind as soon as I saw it. That golden scene was so amazing that even now my eyes show me that scene whenever I close my eyes. I have kept some beautiful memories saved in the 'treasure vault' of my mind, in which this memory has also been recorded. Whenever I feel like it, I think, remember and talk to myself a little and convince myself.

Walking in the mountains is like falling in love, admiring the wild flowers and thinking that I wish I could also become like them who do not need anything. Standing in the sunlight, I talk to the snowy mountains, I have some complaints and some requests. The complaint has always been the same that every time I see such scenes, I wish they would come with me, but they never go with me. My request is that whenever I get lost in my work, I feel pressure and anxiety. Then I want the coolness of the mountain snow to fill my chest and free me from bad thoughts.

The sun has slowly come above my head, the weather has not become hot at all, rather the air has become colder. During my conversation with the mountain, cold gusts of wind are coming and going again and again. I take out a warm cap from my bag and wear gloves on my hands. I get a little cozy and sit on a big stone and take out a chocolate from my bag and offer it to the mountain, but who has the mountain listened to that it will listen to me. While eating the chocolate, I look at the sun and say, make the sun a little stronger and the wind a little less.

Nature will not work on my orders, it has its own existence on which it has to survive. What do the clouds flying over the mountains after filling water from the rivers think of themselves? If we ever sit down and talk, I would like to ask the cloud if it will ever take me with it to the top of that mountain below which there are dense forests of deodar, in these forests there are monal, squirrels, colorful butterflies and many beautiful flowers bloom. And if this dream of mine ever comes true, I would like to make my life colorful by choosing colors from the rainbow blooming on the foreheads of snow-covered deodar trees.

I would also like to circle the earth roaming with white herons, in this fascinating journey of mine I will take the fragrance of roses which I will place on the palms of the earth saying “I love you”. Instead of thinking bad, the mountains push me into an imaginary world where I become the character of different types of stories and walk hand in hand with nature. Today, when I am writing this post, the rose blooming in the balcony is smiling at me as if it is understanding all my words.

My walking, thinking, breathing are all symbols of beauty for which I am grateful to nature. I live in the mountain snowfields in my thoughts. That's it for today and now I get out of my thoughts and do something that I haven't wanted to do for many hours.

You wrote an amazing "love letter to the mountains" around these great photos! It will sound weird and crazy, but you made awesome clear photos of a foggy valley... I suppose that happens when you have an advantage to be "over the fog"!

Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for your comment, I thought no one would read this letter. I am happy that you read it. The fog reached such a height that's why the photos came out so well. Have a good day

I thought no one would read this letter.

When I began my writing here, I thought that nobody reads my posts and that nobody cares about them... Until a certain point when I got some meaningful comments, when people said that they are reading my posts, but don't always comment...

So, don't worry about that... People do read your posts! Keep creating them and add value to them!

Have an awesome day!
