Today I'd like to show you two letterings on this old building in Montreal. The letterings by Tuna and Benny Wilding aren't too young either, especially the one done by Benny. Maybe even the paint helps hold the wall 😀.

Aujourd'hui je vous propose deux lettrages sur cet ancien bâtiment de Montréal. Les lettrages de Tuna et de Benny Wilding ne sont pas tout jeune non plus, surtout celui réalisé par Benny. Peut-être même que la peinture aide à tenir le mur 😀.

I wonder what these buildings originally housed with those two high chimneys. Going the furthest back on Google Maps, in 2012, there's a sign for Intact Printing. In red on the left is Benny Wilding and on a black background, Tuna.

Je me demande bien ce que ces bâtiments accueillait à l'origine avec ces deux grandes cheminées. En remontant le plus loin sur Google Maps, en 2012, il y a un panneau pour l'Imprimer Intact. En rouge à gauche, il s'agit de Benny Wilding et sur un fond noir, Tuna.

WHERE

On rue Saint-Hubert behind the Audi dealership in Montreal. I think there used to be a few artists' studios in this building, including L'Atelier Verred, see StreetArt #532 for some beautiful lettering. On my last visit, it looked quite empty.

Sur la rue Saint-Hubert derrière le concessionnaire Audi à Montréal. Avant dans ce bâtiment, je pense qu'il y avait quelques ateliers d'artistes dont l'Atelier Verred, voir StreetArt #532 pour quelques lettrages de toute beauté. A mon dernier passage, cela semblait bien vide.

WHO

Tuna

Tuna is an artist from Montreal. Not much information about him, except that on his Instagram account, he introduces himself as The Fresh Prince Of Darkness. I like it* 😀. *His letters are pretty cool and with the cartoon character, it's perfect.

Tuna est un artiste de Montréal. Peu d'information sur lui, à part que sur son compte Instagram, il se présente comme The Fresh Prince Of Darkness. J'aime bien 😀. Ses lettres sont plutôt cool et avec le personnages de dessins animés, c'est parfait.

Lola Bunny with a rather daring pause, don't you think? / FR : Lola Bunny avec une pause plutôt osée, non ? 😅

Benny Wilding

Benny Wilding** discovered StreetArt on a trip to New York in the 90's at the age of 12, influenced by the walls painted all over the city. Back in Montreal, he devoted himself to street art. He signs his lettering with Cemz. One of my favorite Montreal artists, who like Tuna combines beautiful lettering with pop culture characters.

Benny Wilding a découvert le StreetArt lors d'un voyage à New York à l'âge de 12 ans dans les années 90, influencé par les murs peints dans toute la ville. De retour à Montréal, il se consacre à l'art de la rue. Il signe ses lettrages avec Cemz. Un de mes artistes préférés préférés à Montréal, qui aome comme Tuna allié des superbes lettres avec des personnages de la culture populaire.

In some places, not much paint remains. / FR : A certains endroits, il ne reste pas grand chose de peinture.
