Street Art #709 Other & Labrona, Montreal
I find it interesting to group together a few works by the same artist in a single post. It gives a better idea of the artist's style and universe. Today we're talking about Other who likes to paint his characters all over the streets of Montreal, especially on street furniture. He has also collaborated with another artist from Montreal, Labrona. Let's discover this artist together.
Je trouve intéressant de regrouper quelques œuvres d'un même artiste dans un même post. Cela permet de mieux cerner son style . Aujourd'hui il s'agit de Other qui aime peindre ses personnages un peu partout dans les rues de Montréal surtout sur le mobilier urbain. Il a réalisé quelques collaborations avec un autre artiste montréalais Labrona. Partons ensemble à la découverte de cet artiste.

Other
Troy Lovegates aka Other is an Ottawa-born artist now based between Montreal and San Francisco. He began painting on trains (and continues to do so), taking him all over the world. He now also exhibits his paintings and wooden sculptures in art galleries, while continuing his StreetArt practice. I had already done a post on his work, see StreetArt #651.

Il a commencé à peindre sur les trains (et il continue de le faire) le faisant voyager partout dans le monde. Maintenant, il expose aussi ses peintures et ses sculptures en bois dans les galeries d'art tout en continuant le StreetArt. J'avais déjà fait un post sur son travail, voir StreetArt #651.

Difficult photo to take because of a wire fence that I was able to avoid taking, but not the branch of the shrub. / FR : Photo difficile à prendre à cause d'un grillage que j'ai pu éviter de prendre en photo mais pas la branche de l'arbuste 😀.
Other often collaborates with Montreal artist Labrona, recognizable by his brightly-colored characters outlined with thick black lines (check out his world at StreetArt #654 or StreetArt #295.
