Street Art #621 Breaking Walls : Alley Moreau, Montreal
During the Breaking Walls festival which took place during the weekend of June 23 in Montreal, the entire Moreau alley was painted by Mexican artists and local artists. The result was truly superb. Unfortunately, one or two weeks after the festival, the works of Montreal artists had been tagged. Too bad. Fortunately, there were still the murals of Mexican artists, cool to discover new styles bringing cultural elements specific to their country. Interesting to see this mix Quebec / Mexico.

WHERE
Breaking Walls took place mainly on Moreau Street in Montreal. I'll gradually add the points on the map of the different murals, so that at the end it can serve as a map if you're in the neighborhood to go and admire them. Yesterday for the mural of Monk.E and Luvs ([Street Art Contest #153](https://peakd.com/hive-184784/@heroldius/cccs-street- art-contest-153-breaking-walls--monke-and-luvs-montreal)), I was in the wrong position and misnamed the first work I presented to you. Everything is corrected in this version.

WHO
Polographe, Filco & Hank
We start the alley with the tagged works of Filco, a Montreal-based artist who loves painting dogs. This one seemed straight out of Hell, but a big white tag came to cover it. Right next to it, a new work by Polographe, also completely covered. Really bad luck. You can see their on their Instagram account.
However. the dog made by Hank aka François Boucher, artist and sculptor had been spared. Nice job but I wonder what this dog is eating, it doesn't look very "appetizing" 😀.
Then we fall into a 100% Mexican part with Jijón, visual artist from Mexico with this superb mural, especially the head, really cool...
Christina Mazzulla
In almost the same color palette, Christina Mazzulla, artist and tattoo artist also from Mexico, created this superb double portrait. I think this is the part of the wall that I prefer. And you ?. The eyes of the skull are really well done, it seems that it's him who is afraid of us. I don't know why I have this impression.
Rizek
Rizek, an artist based in Montreal and paint often on the LTG Wall that I present in my StreetArt series also suffered an attack. Too bad... Street Art is really an ephemeral art.
Retro & Raquel Hernandez
And we end with this long wall with another Mexican duo Retro and [Raquel Hernandez](https://www.instagram .com/raque.f.5/), two Mexican artists who created this work with elements of Mexican culture such as snakes and masks. Really cool to see this on the walls of Montreal. It changes a bit.

Very interesting works… think I like the double portrait too more over the other.
Don’t think the dog likes his food hahaha 🤣 🪱 all worm like things…
Have a nice Saturday 👋🏻😊
Indeed the double portrait is very cool. It's my favorite of this alley.
I think the dog is rather disappointed to see his food go out of his bowl on its own 😀
Have a cool saturday too
The dog is… he has that look hahaha 😜
Thanks a lot, hope your Saturday was great.
Happy Sunday 👋🏻😊
Saturday night was a little too festive... waking up on this Sunday morning is rather difficult. But the sun is out and with a cup of coffee, it should be fine. Enjoy your sunday...
Oefff I know those days/ nights.
Coffee always helps. Hope it did.
Have a great evening and a fantastic start of the new week 👋🏻😊

Fun style. I really like the dog by Hank. Devil dog?
I don't know if it's the Devil dog or this owner is the Devil to feed it worms.
Enjoy your day.
