We're back in the wonderful world of stickers 😀 this time with a special Letterings theme. Artists often practice on notebooks to rehearse their letters with the best sequence. A few transpose them onto stickers to see their impact on walls, like DEFK, one of Montreal's best writers (at least in my opinion).

Nous sommes de retour dans le monde merveilleux des autocollants 😀 avec cette fois une série spéciale Lettrages. Les artistes s'entrainent souvent sur des cahiers pour répéter leurs lettres avec le meilleur enchainement. Quelques un les transposent sur des autocollants pour voir leur impact sur les murs comme DEFK, un des meilleurs writers de Montréal (enfin à mon avis).

Active for over 20 years DEFK has created numerous murals in Montreal with his bright, colorful style, including this mural proposed for CCC's Street Art Contest #188. It's cool to see his work also on small pieces of paper that were quickly peeled off. There must have collectors 🤔...

Trash (Epure)

Over the winter, I spotted two versions of Trash Epure (that's what I'm reading), one green and the other blue. No info on the artist and the style reminds me of nothing known in Montreal. But that's the great thing about stickers, they can come from far and wide. So easy to stick.

Durant l'hiver j'ai aperçu deux versions de Trash Epure (c'est ce que je lis), une verte et l'autre bleue. Aucune info sur l'artiste et le style me rappelle rien de connu sur Montréal. Mais c'est ce qui est bien avec les autocollants, ils peuvent venir de loin. Si simple à coller.

Swik

I really like this lettering with the skull and cap. It's done by Swik, a Peruvian artist based in Quebec. But as his account is private, I don't have any more information. I hope to find a mural by him soon.

J'aime beaucoup ce lettrage avec ce crâne avec grosse casquette. Il s'agirait de Swik, artiste péruvien installé au Québec. Mais comme son compte est privé, je n'ai pas plus d'informations. J'espère trouver une murale de sa main bientôt.

Peyo & Frosted

Then after that we have another famous writer Peyo from Paris. His Instragam account is worth a look, all in color unlike this sticker. With below Frosted 🔽, a Canadian skateboard brand.

Puis après nous avons un autre fameux writer Peyo 🔼 en provenance de Paris. Son compte Instragam vaut le coup d'oeil, tout en couleur au contraire de ce sticker. Avec en dessous Frosted, une marque de Skateboard canadienne.

We end this post with two more handmade letterings, accompanied by Gavlois and his abstract work, and on the right Astro with his usual zany character.

Nous terminons ce post avec deux autres lettrages fait main qui sont accompagnés par Gavlois et son oeuvre abstraite et à droite Astro avec un personnage loufoque comme à son habitude.
