I almost missed the CCC's Street Art Contest #201 because of very slow Internet during my vacation. It took a long time to upload 4 photos 😤. But it's finally done... So here's a mural in tribute to Michel Rabagliati, a comic strip artist from Quebec with his famous character Paul.

J'ai failli rater le CCC's Street Art Contest #201 à cause d'un Internet très lent sur mon lieu de vacances. Cela a été long d'uploader 4 photos. Mais enfin c'est fait... Je vous présente donc une murale en hommage à Michel Rabagliati, dessinateur de bande dessinées originaire du Québec avec son personnage Paul.

The mural is located at 4802 rue Saint-Denis, not far from Laurier metro station.

La murale se trouve au 4802 sur la rue Saint-Denis pas très loin du métro Laurier.

Michel Rabagliati

As I said in the introduction, Michel Rabagliati is a Montreal-born and based comic book artist who became famous for his character Paul, his alter-ego, a kind of auto-biography.

Comme je disais en introduction, Michel Rabagliati est un auteur de bande dessinées né et basé à Montréal qui a été rendu célèbre grâce à son personnage Paul, une sorte d'alter-ego, une auto-biographie.

This mural is part of the Montreal's cultural builders series launched by the MU, organization which contributes to the beautification of Montreal through murals. I've already presented several murals in this series. This workmis based on Michel Rabagliati's original drawing of the bd Paul in apartment. The work is located exactly on the wall of the author's first apartment.

Cette murale fait partie de la série Les bâtisseur(es) culturel(les) montréalais(es) lancée par l'organisme MU qui participe à l'embillissement de Montréal grâce aux murales. J'ai déjà presenté plusieurs murales de cette série. La murale a été faite sur le dessin originale de Michel Rabagliati faisant référence à la bd Paul en appartement. L'oeuvre se trouve exactement sur le mur du premier appartement de l'auteur.
