For the first edition of the CCC's Street Art Contest of the year 2024 (or the last of the year 2023 🤔), I first wish you all a very Happy New Year and also to continue discovering StreetArt from all over the world thanks to this contest organized by @digi-me and the StreetArt community. This week I'm showing this great mural done by Izabelle Duguay near Masson Street in Montreal in 2022.

Cette semaine je vous propose cette superbe murale réalisée par Izabelle Duguay près de la rue Masson à Montréal en 2022.

Izabelle Duguay

Izabelle Duguay is a Montreal-based artist, muralist and designer. She holds a Master's degree in Art Education from Concordia University. Her work has always been interested in the scale of artworks, the power of color and the connection between natural and urban forms. (source: mumtl.org)

Son travail s’intéresse depuis toujours aux échelles des œuvres d’art, la puissance des couleurs et à la connexion entre les formes naturelles et urbaines. (source : mumtl.org)

Izabelle Duguay has painted many works in the neighborhood, thanks mainly to the Canettes de Ruelle festival. During the 2020 edition, she painted a mural in collaboration with Cyndie Belhumeur and Alexis Vaillancourt (StreetArt #404), then in 2021 she teamed up with Ilana Pichon (StreetArt #430).

Izabelle Duguay a peint de nombreuses œuvres dans le quartier surtout grâce au festival Canettes de Ruelle. En 2020, elle avait peint un mur en collaboration avec Cyndie Belhumeur et Alexis Vaillancourt (StreetArt #404), puis en 2021 elle était associée avec Ilana Pichon (StreetArt #430).

This mural is called "Until Dawn". It underlines the importance of life and of enjoying the poetry of nature, as with this dawn and these colors. I like the addition of the green leaves that seem to spring from the tubs below. This wall adds color, especially when the sky is gray like in the photos.

Cette murale se nomme "Jusqu'à l'Aube". Elle souligne l'importance de la vie et de profiter de la poésie de la nature comme avec ce lever de soleil et ces couleurs. J'aime bien l'ajout des feuilles vertes qui semblent jaillir des bacs en dessous. Ce mur met de la couleur surtout quand le ciel est gris comme sur les photos.
