I don't believe in religion because... / Weekend-Engagement #147
Happy Sunday, my dear friends!
Today I am joining Weekend Engagement, and I will be completing one of the sentences proposed by my friend @galenkp. I hope you like my participation.
Religion is something that has existed since ancient times, and there are many religions with followers, but honestly I don't believe in religion because I have always seen it as a form of social domination.
The followers of them are always limited by the customs and rules of their religion.
You can't dress this way, you can't eat or drink certain things. Women who have to be fully covered or who are mandated by religion to serve men or to live only to reproduce.
Homosexual relations are not allowed, men are soda this, women are soda that... and so on and so forth. Needless to say, most religions have a macho tinge.
I don't like religions and even less when they are so orthodox. And that's not to say that they don't have certain beliefs that I like, for example, I like to think that reincarnation is real.
My point is that I don't like it when people are limited and can't be themselves, explore their personality to the fullest, or experience multiple experiences.
Religion is the most powerful tool of mind control, in my opinion.
And when one of the believers of a closed religion expresses his dissatisfaction with some of its customs, the rest of the believers label him as a pariah, making him a black sheep.
But, the fact that I do not believe in religion does not mean that I do not believe in faith. I think we all can and should believe in something, even if it is only in ourselves.
Faith can help us to achieve great things, or to be motivated to achieve them. Faith can allow us to see life in a more beautiful way, or maybe you can call it optimism.
But the point is, it is valid to believe in something, whatever it is, without belonging to a religion.

That is true. Religion were made by men and faith start into every person.
I believe in God and my relationship with him is directed
Just like that, my friend. I think you are happier that way. Without owing anything to anyone.
I'm glad to read you and know that we have the same opinion, as a person who even spent a long time attending christian churches I must admit that yes, it's all about control and rules, besides being sexist of that I have 0 doubts, I saw in person how they told a woman that her husband was unfaithful because of the devil hahahahahahaha
Girrl. Hahahaha. I've heard something like that too. I have relatives who are now Christians when they used to be super free and joyful people.
One aunt is now a Christian and she has changed a lot. All because her husband is a Christian. He is often violent and her response is that "Christ is working in him". And that whatever happens she should stay with him and serve him. It is sad.
Uff how strong that my friend, I'm sorry that your aunt is involved in a toxic relationship, because that's what it is, where they do not give her love and respect, I hope that someday she realizes and begins to work on her self-esteem 🙁

Hello friend, good post the truth I have always believed that every opinion should be respected even if we do not share it. And everything is good until it becomes an obsession, I share with you the fact that people sometimes limit themselves in being themselves❤️
and religion does not save anyone but JesusChrist
I must commend you for your opinion on religion or Christianity, there's so much hypocrisy in so called Christianity.
I also agree, that we all are free moral agents. Humans are endowed with the ability to choose and make decisions, because we are created but did not evolve or reincarnate. Humans must have been created by Intelligent creator, right?
The thing is not to be religious or to belong to a religion and much less to follow people or dogmas of men.
In a way there must be some kind of social control, so do the laws because there must be rules to live in society.
I do not share types of clothing or limitation of any kind, that's for sure.
Religion cannot save us however our faith and relationship to God would be a tool to save us from perish.
The subject of religion is a controversial and complicated one, I obviously respect your point of view and agree with it in part. What I like is that you are a woman of faith, you are clear that through that and what you believe in you can achieve great things.
A pleasure to read you beautiful😚
Me gustó mucho tu pensamiento amiga y estoy de acuerdo contigo aunque me considero católica pero no estoy de acuerdo con algunas cosas que impone la iglesia.
I share your point of view, my friend, I don't like religion either because I don't think that to be a good person you have to belong to one of them, even religion is responsible for many things that happen in the world.
