The Nightingale and the Rose.

Oscar Wilde in The Nightingale and the Rose, tells the story of a young student who needed a red rose so that his girlfriend would grant him a dance at the future party that the prince would give. The point was that in all of his garden, there wasn't even a single red rose!..

The nightingale (which lived in a tree that had a view of the window of the unfortunate young man), seeing the tears and the suffering of the boy, took pity on him.

Then, said bird was given the task of getting the long-awaited rose for the young gentleman. He flew from rose bush to rose bush looking for one that could offer him what he needed. Curiously, the rose bush that gave red roses was under the student's window; yet the only way the nightingale could get the flower was in exchange for his blood, his life

After analyzing the situation, the little bird agreed, since for her, the love of a man (genuine love) was more important than the life of a bird. She sang all night with her chest pressed against the thorn of the rose bush, so that it pierced her little heart. The next morning, the red rose was finished on the branches of the rose bush, while the nightingale lay dead on the green grass of the garden.

The young man, seeing it, marveled and tore it off. The sad thing about this story is the end of it, since the girl dressed in blue for the day of the party, and the rose did not match her attire, for which he did not accept it. So, the student got upset and threw the flower in the middle of the road, where it was crushed; him while he came back to her house babbling how silly love is.

Life is full of ironies (as we see in this story). Sometimes, we give everything for certain frivolities and make unnecessary sacrifices, which are not taken into account by certain people or by society; because not all of us see life in the same way or think the same, and what is important to some is not so important to others.
