Sketch Diary 07: A Beautiful Day on the Fields

If I'm not mistaken, I sketched the countryside a few weeks back. I only used my pencil back then, but this time I tried to redraw a similar scenery, but with colors.

For this drawing, I used my colored pencils on my sketchbook. I hope you like it.

I still don't know how to use colored pencils effectively, but I'll try to practice more in the coming days. I think painting is still the easiest when it comes to coloring because the colors are easily blended.

Well, I want to experiment on various materials.

Anyway, allow me to show you the progress shots below...

When I want to make a darker color for the posts, my sketchbook was about to get torn despite coloring lightly, so I decided to use my brown markers instead. hahahah

Not that satisfying to see, but I still enjoyed the process, so it's OK. I also ordered new markers online since a lot of my old ones ran out of ink. I plan to draw more in the coming days, so I'm really excited for it.

I'll continue practicing pencil and colored pencil sketches, too.
