Sketch Diary 03: Inside a Whale

Hey friends!
How's it going?

I got another request from one of my young students. Recently, he's been into marine animals especially various types of whales. We enjoyed discussing and sharing stories about them during our class.

As we were about to wrap up and say our goodbyes, he requested I draw a whale. Well, he didn't ask me to draw an actual one but he wanted me to draw what's inside of a whale's belly. hahah

It sounded challenging, so I promised him I'd do it. I was also interested with the concept and it reminded me of Laboon from One Piece. There was literally a small island inside his belly. lol

So this was what I came up with...

I drew my student fishing inside a whale's belly. He was laughing a lot when he saw my drawing. He wonders what kinds of fish exist inside. I'm glad he liked it, though.

I just used some markers and colored pencils in doing this sketch. I won't be able to use more markers in the coming days since they're about to give up. I really need to get a new batch.

Anyway, I wonder what crazy sketches would my students request me to make in the coming days. It's quite fun and exciting.
