A View I Want to See... <3 (acrylic markers)

Hey friends!

I decided to paint something today since it's been a while. I imagined a scene that I hope to see in person someday.

To start, I wanted it to be a night setting because I'm a selenophile. The moon is just so majestic and mystical to look at. I also included a waterfall and a lovely cherry blossom tree.

I used acrylic markers on my A5 canvas pad for this artwork. :) I hope you enjoy it. Here are some of the progress shots below...





The page was messy from my last artwork, so I painted over it instead of adding a border. I sketched the outline of the scenery I wanted to create.





I started painting the sky. I made it cloudy, so the moon would stand out more.





I added some mountains, but kept details minimal. Anyway, they won't be seen later on. haha

Next, I created a large river and waterfall. I wanted to make a long and slender kind of waterfall similar to Nachi Falls, but I might do that next time.

Lastly, I added the cherry blossom tree alongside other greenery in the corner to create some contrast.

After making some final adjustments, I added my name at the bottom. :) It was a fun experience creating this artwork. I rarely go out, but there are many places I want to see in person someday, especially natural locations like this one.
