DIY | Pinwheel

avatar

When i was a kid i have played alot with pinwheel. I have bought my first pinwheel from a junkie who took my books and gave me pinwheel instead of money.

I have sold my alot of books just to get this pinwheel, but after some time that junkie left with his pinwheels and never came to our street. At first i have tried to open my old pinwheels and tried to learn how it is actually created, but i was just 12 so it was kind of hardest thing for me to recreate at that age.

After few days i have quite trying making pinwheel, and today I'm gonna try this again after 10 years... and I'm very glad that this time i have got the perfect results. I was very happy that I made it...but I think it's not as happy as I would have if I made it 10 years ago.

This post is my entry for new contest introduced by diyhub's community.

I'm going to go with air type element.

So let's move towards step by step Procedure..,

First i have cut the paper of different colors in sqaure. Sqaure can be made in any size, i have also used random size.

Then i have used Scissors to cut paper from the middle of all sqaures, we have to cut triangles here.

After that i have cut a circle out of another paper and divided it into 8 partitions.

Then i have started attaching papers in each partition with the help of glue.

When you will attach all 8 papers triangles to the 8 halfs of circle it will look like this.

After that take one side of paper and fix it in the center of the of the pinwheel.

And keep repeating untill you will attach all ends at the center... and get such results 👇

After that i have made a stick with paper, first i thought to use wooden stick but later skipped the idea because it was small in length.

After that i have used a pin to attach the stick with the wheel. I have used regular pins like this👇

And here's the final result after attaching wheel to the stick👇👇

I have asked my brother to make a demo video about how it works but he is camera shy so he didn't agreed but still here's a little demo👇👇

That's it for today will be back with another exciting idea soon bye bye 😁 👋

I love your back story as much as this creative and beautiful pinwheel.

The video of you in the shadow and your hand not in the shadow is interesting. How did you do that? !DIY
