Digital Art | Creative Sunday

I don't know if it's a weakness or a strength that I can't rely on one particular thing for long... I don't stay interested in things for long, somehow that's a good thing because i learned a lot of new skills just because I can't sustain my interest in one particular thing but at the same time it's the worst thing I think I have in me, now the question is why?

You know when you drop a skill in middle of it's journey towards perfection you'll never get a great grip on that skill.

So I call it my weakness more than my strength because it creates a gap within me....a gap between the starting point and the end point of my learning journey; I know how to cook but I'm not perfect as chef, I know how to dance but I'm not a great dancer, I know how to make hand embroidery but I'm not perfect, I know how to sketch but they rarely look realistic...

Even after finding out what's wrong with me I'm still running to new things/skills~ Why? I dont know...

I made this digital art because I'm developing my interest towards digital art, I have no experience of making digital arts before even i never learned it before but whenever i see people doing great digital arts with just a simple tablet and a stylus i feel like oh this is so amazing and fun if i would learn it too...

So, instead of wasting my time on skills I've already lost interest in, I thought I'd move on to what I find attractive these days.

My inspiration for this art is here

Procedure

I started making the dog with outlining the dog, it was quite fun to use pencil tool instead of using a physical pencil

In next step, i made the outline more clear and used vector pen tool, I don't know whether it was the exact tool needed for making outlines but it helped me, not alot but yeah it worked quite well.

After completing outlining i moved towards shading face of the dog which included two different shades of brown, lighter one for base and the darker one for shadows

After shading the face I moved towards shading its hands and the tail. For hands the same colors were used like 2 shades of brown and for tail i used red as in reference image the tail was red.

Next I shaded the shirt and shoes of the dog with green and yellow shades, and for shading them I used dip pen( soft). In fact i used the same tool for doing all the colors in the dog.
I was not aware about alot of tools but I used what I found suitable.

I asked my sister to understand what is this and she said it's a spaceship... before that I was thinking it's a bike or a car🤣... Well I shaded the spaceship with two shades of blue, the dark one for base and the light one for shining. And i used black and white shades to highlight some darks and lows of the art.

At this step my art was almost done only background was left. For background i used airbrush of different colors and filled the layer with dark shade of blue and for making a little shadow i used black color

Here's the final results 👇

That's it for today will be back with another exciting idea soon... bye bye😜

I have listened about adobe illustrator but never tried it in practical ever, because i have ibispaints and it's a portable software that is really easy to use even when you are a beginner.

But I'll try adobe illustrator too in future.😊😊

Oh that's totally alright,

But art is something that makes your mind dance on the waves of an ocean of creativity and digital art is also one of those things that requires a creative mindset and gives you same comfort and peace you get from other art pieces.
Sad hive learner is not currently accepting digital arts but hope they will start accepting again😊

Have a nice day
