Scammers are everyware so be aware...

Hello all Friends and LEO Lovers..

In our daily life we we always read or hear about the differen scam going on around us. Some time those are offline and now days online scams are very often. Every week a new dm on discord about new scheme or new channels. I don't give attention to them and that my way to stay away from them.

Most of the time people fall in scam because of the greed (everyone wanan more and more in short time). Some time it happened in other ways also. Scammers play with your emotion or wann get benifit of your relarion. Recently I come across similar incident.

Few week back I open one of my old social media app (now days I am not using other then blockhain social media). I just opened the app and seen a friend request from one of my known person (he was in working in our company and now enjoying his retirement life). I have seen the name and profile pic and accepted the request. Just after that recieved the hi message. I reply to him and he started asking other thing like how ate you etc etc...
Upto that time I have no idea that I am chatting with some scammer. Suddenly he changed the topic and ask me if I can help him. I say OK tell me. He reply that he need some financial help.
At that time I got alerted as this looks very awkward. The person I know is very well settled and finicialy very good, why he is asking help from me. I immediately checked his profile and come to know that it's recently created without almost no activity.
I ask him to message me on my mobile number (if he is right person he should have my phone number also). As I thought the person (or cheater) on ither side ask me for my phone number. Atvthat moment it was confirmed that some body used the name and picture of my friend and created the new profile to cheat other people.

I called my friend and told his the story that someone is using his name to fraud others.

This was my first experience with identy thef.
