Actualizando mi descripción en Internet | Marca personal [SPA - ENG]

Revisando todas mis redes sociales, desde Hive hasta LinkedIn, me di cuenta que debía actualizar las secciones de mi descripción. Como emprendedores, freelancers o dueños de negocios y de nuestra marca personal, las descripciones de nuestros perfiles son importantes ya que ellas son la primera impresión que transmitimos a quienes nos visitan y, después de la imagen de perfil, es lo que más definido y claro que debemos tener.

Hay una descripción corta que es la resume toda nuestra esencia. Es la que nos piden todas las redes; y están las descripciones largas que usualmente tenemos en páginas que fungen como un "sobre mí". En mi caso uso https://about.me/. En esta página descriptiva puedes escribir una especie de biografía o ampliar lo que tu descripción corta dice en tus perfiles de redes sociales. Y lo mejor es que puedes enlazar estas, así como también tu blog, landing pages o páginas de destino, portafolios y lo que desees mostrar. Fíjate en mi perfil de About.Me

Fíjenese cómo al final de la página aparecen los íconos de redes sociales. Puedes colocar los que quieras. Yo enlacé hasta mi perfil de Duolingo! Puede que conozca a varias personas por allí.

En estas capturas pueden ver las descripciones de algunos de mis perfiles de redes sociales. Pueden ver que alguno debo modificarlos un poco para que coincidan más en la descripción. Aunque la verdad es que me gusta tener cierta variación, así se complementan un poco entre ellas.

Otra cosa a tener en cuenta es que la imagen de perfil que uso en About.me, no es la misma que uso en la mayoría de mis perfiles. Eso sí debo unificarlo ya que es lo que recomiendan, siempre tener una misma imagen de perfil, eso transmite congruencia y permite que te identifiquen con mayor facilidad.

Si bien pueden visitar mi perfil de about.me y leer mi descripción larga, igual les dejo parte de lo que allí expreso para que así me conozcan un poco más.

Me gusta escribir, hablar y conectar con personas. Es la manera en que me siento vivo. A través de las palabras me comunico conmigo mismo y con el resto del mundo.

Escribo para mi, para otros y para nadie a la vez.

Dicto conferencias y talleres sobre Superación y Prevención de la Depresión, Desarrollo Personal, Comunicación Eficaz, Oratoria y Locución, Ikigai o Propósito de Vida.

Eso es todo lo que tengo que decir por ahora. Luego les traeré más de mi experiencia con mi presencia en Internet. Estaré compartiendo con ustedes algunos cambios que haga en mis sitios web. Estos nos permiten comunicar nuestro propósito y servicios. No soy experto en marketing digital, pero lo que sé lo quiero compartir con ustedes esperando les sea de utilidad.

Reviewing all my social networks, from Hive to LinkedIn, I realized that I needed to update my description sections. As entrepreneurs, freelancers or business owners and our personal brand, the descriptions of our profiles are important because they are the first impression we transmit to those who visit us and, after the profile image, it is the most defined and clear thing we should have.

There is a short description that summarizes our essence. It is the one that all the networks ask us for; and there are the long descriptions that we usually have in pages that serve as an "about me". In my case I use https://about.me/. In this descriptive page you can write a kind of biography or expand what your short description says in your social network profiles. And the best thing is that you can link these, as well as your blog, landing pages or landing pages, portfolios and whatever you want to showcase. Check out my About.Me profile.

Notice how the social network icons appear at the bottom of the page. You can place as many as you want. I even linked to my Duolingo profile! I may know several people there.

In these screenshots you can see the descriptions of some of my social media profiles. You can see that some of them I need to modify them a bit to match more in the description. Although the truth is that I like to have some variation, so they complement each other a little bit.

Another thing to take into account is that the profile image I use in About.me, is not the same I use in most of my profiles. I should unify it since that is what they recommend, always have the same profile image, it conveys congruence and allows you to be identified more easily.

Although you can visit my about.me profile and read my long description, I still leave you part of what I express there so you can get to know me a little better.

I like to write, talk and connect with people. It's the way I feel alive. Through words I communicate with myself and with the rest of the world.

I write for myself, for others and for no one else at the same time.

I direct the Anti-Depression Social Project and the Integral Training Program "Comunica Mejor": Public Speaking - Writing - Relationships.

I am a commercial speaker and voice branding for companies. I record and edit inspirational, reflective and motivational audios and videos. I also work as a voice over and entertainer for live events.

I give lectures and workshops on Overcoming and Preventing Depression, Personal Development, Effective Communication, Public Speaking, Ikigai or Life Purpose.

That's all I have to say for now. Later I will bring you more of my experience with my Internet presence. I will be sharing with you some changes I make to my websites. These allow us to communicate our purpose and services. I am not an expert in digital marketing, but what I know I want to share with you hoping it will be useful.
