The Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex. Florida. April 23
A theme park without roller coasters, more a loose relaxed history of space exploration and (ahem, cough! cough!) moon landings.
In the midst of the cold war, well it was always a case of "oneupmanship"
The aptly named "Rocket Garden" houses a few rockets that may or may not have been launched at some point, mainly from the 50's and 60's.
I guess with all these NASA exhibits there would be a strong connection to the actual National Aeronautics and Space Administration.
Tenuous to say the least, it has since the mid 90's been operated by, Delaware North, a hospitality management company, specialising in gambling and entertainment establishments across the USA.
Wander around inside plenty of stuff to swat up on.
Space shuttle Atlantis, one of three publicly displayed.
Overall? pretty underwhelming. Now where is that darn mouse?

Thanks for showing us rocket garden and Rockets
Been there a few years ago…
We had definitely better weather. It was still cool to see and wander around.
Thanks for sharing your experience 👋🏻😊
Have a nice weekend @grindle
I completely agree - the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex in Florida is an absolutely amazing place to visit!
cheers @hotspotitaly thanks for stopping by, very interesting if you are into space travel
I used to enjoy going but then there used to be times Brevard County residents could go for free. I can't bring myself to pay what they want for ticket prices these days.
yes its ridiculous the cost to visit anything in Orlando these days, captive audience syndrome!
A very interesting place and I wish I could visit this place I am fascinated by space flight.
Have a wonderful Sunday.
cheers @triplug
Thanks for the photos. Now I see something of it but if you were underwhelmed - then I am too. Semms quite appropriate that it is being managed by a hospitality company. I skipped it when I last visited FL - Disney was enough.
Got to love Mickey and his mates!!!
Underwhelmed is a damn good word
