An anonymous office complex Magdeburg. April 22
I really do not know how I ended up here, driving through an Industrial Estate on the outskirts of the city.
"Ours is not to question why
Ours is but to do or die"
"That looks rather fucking mahoosive" one of the voices in my head casually remarked as I swore at the stupid satnav for bringing me in this direction.
Not sure what parking restrictions are like on these German highways, but sod it.
Pulled over
Got out
Wandered.
Oh look
C'mon
Let's mooch
Some form of recreational area in the basement
Would you call this vintage? A first aid cabinet from 1990, a promising start.
"Head of Civil Defence"
Oooh this could be interesting.
Empty room
It wasn't
"Ventilation centre"
Oooh this could be boring
Empty room

"Don't worry you only have another 6 floors of this" said my invisible friend.
"Besides you need the exercise"
Ground floor and I guess with a remnant of a visitor signing in book, this was the main foyer.
Some amusing entries when I read it writing this up.
Dieter Schone was a regular visitor of H.Schneider in room 321 and his reason for so doing?
BEERS!!!
Party on dude
Floor after floor of smashed up walls and empty rooms
With nothing to show but a minging old mattress, I decided to put a spurt on and jog. I need the exercise apparently, in truth I was getting bored; here are some views from said rooms
Lumping it all together I did stumble across some treasure
Not the plans for world domination, just document cases in relation to commercial building projects and engineering drawings.
Office for Supply and Social Affairs, some bureaucratic employment document
Kündigungsschutzverfahren...... Dismissal Protection Procedure ( and that is why with words like that german is a really fucking difficult language to master)
At first glance I thought the male model in brown was our fellow hivian....... @slobberchops 😂
"Open Monument Day" on September 10th - preparations are in full swing"
36 seniors made a trip to Lake Constance from the Travel Club of the People's Solidarity
Wonderful
DOSAFF.. Formed in August 1951, Volunteer Society for Cooperation with the Army, Aviation, and Navy,
Its reason to be? "Patriotic upbringing of the population and preparation of it to the defene of the Motherland".

Hey @amiableamara thanks for stopping by, that’s the fun of doing it; the adrenaline rush of the unknown
The reason I hate massive office blocks, still you found some decent stuff...
A little similar, I think I have some Viking in me somewhere with my younger colour...
Yes,I didn’t actually have “male model” as being on your CV 😂
Someone was like "I'll just make my own doorway." Probably someone looking for "BEERS" 😆

How amazing to come across this gem in the middle of the road, and how good to be brave enough to go exploring! These places always give me a kind of nostalgia, they make me think of all those who put their effort to build it and then it is forgotten. But at least it's a good space to take some good photos. Thanks for sharing 😃.
(The graffiti on the wall was funny, I also imagine what will go through the heads of those who decide to ruin a wall with a drawing like that) 😅.
Cheers @lauramica thanks for stopping by, I love getting in these old places and hunting for treasure! Happy too that my fellow hivians enjoy my snaps , with or without the jizz 😂😂
That is a lot of building to explore. Did you check out room 321 to see if any beer was left over?
Lol @coinjoe big big building, no I failed to find it , thanks for stopping by
