As the days unfold and no one is in sight, I rethink my choices, the one I’m seeing in the newspaper gives a fair price, and why I’m I here checking the price to cheat death, old age has set in and children wouldn’t dare come home to say hi to grandpa, I’m all alone here and it has never been this lonely. The first-page talk about a cryogenic process in the heart of town, followed by adverts in various centers that keep old men cold in asleep till their children come. At least by that, I won’t be lonely.

So many have opted for this, younger ones even, choosing to choose between the evils in the world to see, they stay longer on the earth since a boy of twenty could have already made enough money to last his entire lifestyle by engaging in the metaverse or uploading his consciousness on the web to allow mining, through this, he could earn while sleeping, gets to wake up every ten years, spend a year on earth and go back to sleep for another ten years. The reality is horrible to think of, but here we are in the hands of science, innovation, and technology, transhuman across space and time to witness the impossible.

I choose one of twenty years. By then, who knows what I will meet when I wake up, another disease in rage? An outbreak without a cure?, the end of the world? What?
