A group of women living in a community, which is supported by a man they call "Pastor". Living in a rudimentary way in the mountains, we see how it is divided into wives and daughters (all are wives and daughters of the pastor), the wives dress in red and the daughters in blue.
Life here is governed by a kind of customs and beliefs very similar to those that existed in the Middle Ages, they make prayers and each of the women have a role within the community, the difference is that the Pastor is the only man in the community and the daughters grow up to be his wives.

The arrival of a police officer gives an unexpected twist, giving him a deadline to vacate the place, which makes the Pastor decide to look for another place with the women. In this journey, one of the daughters begins to notice that something is not right, but not knowing any other reality than this makes her confused, one of the wives who lives apart, (according to the Pastor is "Broken", which causes her to be rejected by the two wives) is what makes the daughter remember everything that has happened and what is happening at the moment and begins to question the lifestyle.
One of the wives, who was pregnant, her water breaks and she begins to give birth to a son during the journey to her new home, the wives helped the child to be born. Unfortunately, she died during childbirth and the Pastor was outraged when he noticed that the newborn was a boy and not a girl.
They performed a ceremony to burn the body of the wife who died and there the Pastor was going to leave the child abandoned, making the other wives and daughters believe that he was insane and therefore should not continue. The wife who was living apart because of "Brota" rescued the child and left the group with him to save him.

Finally they arrive at a place and the Pastor calls it "El Eden", then he baptizes them in the lake to start their new life. Cela is called by the Pastor one night to give him her "Grace", and that same night she loses her virginity against her will. After that night Cela reveals herself convinced that it was all wrong in the way she was living. One day the daughters wake up and notice that the wives are not there, when they go out to look for them they arrive at the lagoon and see the Pastor kneeling on the banks alone, when he notices the arrival of the daughters he tells them that their mothers went home, thus fulfilling the divine command for the daughters to become wives, the first one he calls is Cela asking her to be his wife and to allow him to give her his grace, to which she responds that he was not her pastor and did not want his grace either.

Cela ends up revealing herself to the pastor and causing her sisters to open their eyes as well. In a community where the oadtor was the only man and the only one who had the most rights, so much so that he would decide who was pure or impure, it was only a matter of time before his control over the wives and daughters would end.

In my opinion, the man had a narcissistic complex and wanted to remain the center of attraction to women who had no other choice since he was the only man and not knowing any other reality, they only had to live under his dogmas making him look like a messiah.

A movie that I recommend to see and more if you want to understand the behavior of people within a social group.

Un grupo de mujeres que viven en comunidad, la cual esta sostenida por un hombre al que llaman "Pastor". Viviendo de manera rudimentaria en las montañas, vemos como la misma esta divididas en esposas e hijas (todas son esposas e hijas del pastor), las esposas visten con prendas de color rojo y las hijas de color azul.
La vida aquí se rigue por una clase de costumbres y creencias muy similares a las que existia en la edad media, hacen oraciones y cada una de las mujeres tienen un rol dentro de la comunidad, la diferencia es que el Pastor es el único hombre de la comunidad y y las hijas al crecer pasan a ser sus esposas.

La llegada de un oficial de policía le da un giro inesperado, dandole un plazo para desalojar el lugar lo que hace que el Pastor tome la decisión de buscar otro lugar con las mujeres. En este recorrido, una de las hijas comienza a notar que algo no esta bien, pero el no conocer otra realidad que esta le hace tener confusión, una de las esposas que vive apartada,(segun el Pastor esta "Rota", lo que hace que sea rechazada por lasndemas esposas) es la que hace que la hija recuerde todo lo que ha oasado y lo que pasa en el momento y comienza a cuestionarse el estilo de vida.
Una de las esposa, que esba embarazada rompre fuente y comienza a dar a luz a un hijo durante el recorrigo a su nuevo logar, las esposas ayudaron para que el niño nazca. Lamentablemente muere durante el parto y el Pastor al notar que el recien nacido era niño y no niña se indignó.
Realizan una ceremonía para quemar el cuerpo de la esposa que murió y ahi el Pastor iba a dejar abandonado al niño, haciendo creer a las otras esposas e hijas que estaba insano y por eso no debia seguir. La esposa que vivia apartada por "Rota" rescato al infante y se aparto con él del grupo para salvarlo.

Por fin llegan a un lugar y el Pastor lo llama "El Eden", a continuación les hace un bautizo en el lago para comenzar su nueva vida. Cela es llamada por el Pastor una noche para darle su "Gracia", siendo esa misma noche la que pierde la virginidad en contra de su voluntad. Despues de esa noche Cela se revelaz convencida de que estaba todo mal en la manera de vivir. Un dia las hijas se levantan y notas que las esposas no estan, al salis a buscarlas llegan a la laguna y ven al Pastor arrodillado a las orillas en solitario, en lo que él nota la llegada de las hijas les dice que sus madres se fueron a casa, cumpliendo así con sunrol divino para que las hijas pasen a ser esposas, a la primera que llama es a Cela pidiendole que sea su esposa y que le permita quenle de su gracia, a lo que ella responde él no era su pastor y tampoco queria su gracia.

Cela termina revelandose ante el pastor y haciendo que sus hermanas tambien abran los ojos. En una comunidad donde el oadtor era el unico hombre y el uniconque tenia el mator de los derechos, tanto que él dicidia quien era pura o impura, era cuestion de tiempo para que su control sobre las esposas y las hijas terminara.

En mi parecer, el hombre tenia complejo narcisista y queria mantenerse como el centro de atracción ante las mujeres que no tenian otra opción ya que él era el unico hombre y al no conocer otra realidad solo les quedaba vivir sometidas antes los dogmas de él haciéndose ver como un mesias.

Una pelicula que recomiendo ver y mas si quieres entender el comportamiento de las personas dentro de un grupo social.
