Today again with you to show you a catholic temple located in the center of the city of Barquisimeto and where my family and I profess our faith and offer our service.

Saludos a todos los amigos integrantes de esta prestigiosa comunidad de @Architecturedesign, espero que hoy sea para ustedes un día fabuloso con mucha salud y bienestar.
Hoy nuevamente con ustedes para mostrarles un templo católico ubicado en el centro de la ciudad de Barquisimeto y donde mi familia y yo profesamos nuestra fe y ofrecemos nuestro servicio.

El impulso

It is the temple of San José, a structure that is more than 200 years old, one of the oldest temples in the city, in fact it was one of the buildings that fell during the earthquake of 1812.

Se trata del templo de San José, una estructura que tiene más de 200 años de construida, uno de los templos más antiguos de la ciudad,de hecho fue una de las edificaciones que se cayó durante el terremoto ocurrido en el año 1812.

The earthquake destroyed most of this temple, only the dome where the altar and the crucifix with the image of Jesus Christ are located remained standing.

Talking about the architecture and structure of this ancient temple, we find a neo-baroque style façade, painted in warm yellow and blue colors, with two tall towers and three large mahogany wooden doors, recently restored with sealant and varnish. In the left tower is the bell tower, although it is no longer used, the bells are still operational and right at the top and in the center you can see a small figure of St. Joseph.

Hablando sobre la arquitectura y estructura de este antiguo templo, nos encontramos una fachada con estilo neo barroco, pintada con colores cálidos amarillo y azul, con dos altas torres y tres grandes puertas de madera de caoba, recientemente restauradas con sellador y barniz. En la torre izquierda se encuentra el campanario, aunque ya no se utiliza todavía las campanas están operativas y justo en lo más alto y al centro se puede apreciar una pequeña figura de San José.

The lateral facades also have doors of the same style and color but with black grilles, which were placed during the pandemic to control access to the public on that side.
On the left side façade you can see the three-story building that serves as living quarters for the residents and further to the left the parish office on the first floor and a large parish hall on the upper floor.

Las fachadas latrales también poseen puertas del mismo estilo y color pero con enrejados negros, que fueron colocados en tiempo de pandemia para controlar el acceso al público por ese lado.
En la fachada lateral izquierda se puede apreciar el edificio de tres niveles que sirve de habitación a los residentes y más a la izquierda el despacho parroquial en la planta baja y un gran salón parroquial en la planta alta.

On the right lateral façade there is an area that belongs to the church, where a funeral parlor used to function. At present the construction of a columbarium for the deposit of the ashes of the deceased is being planned.

En la fachada lateral derecha existe un área que pertenece a la iglesia , donde funcionaba una funeraria. En la actualidad se está proyectando la construcción de un columbario para el depósito de las cenizas de los difuntos.

In its interior is the central nave supported by circular columns of approximately 6 meters high and finished in capitals of Ionic art, characterized by possessing at their ends a kind of volute in the form of spiral that make them very decorative.

The columns support a semi-circular arched ceiling made of concrete and painted white with relief decorations molded with plaster and painted yellow ochre.

The circular columns are impressively finished with gray marble throughout their height. This marble also decorates the walls up to a certain height, which gives beauty and sobriety to the environment.

Between the ceiling and the columns there are large windows on each side of the central nave decorated with multicolored stained glass windows where you can read passages from the bible and function as both illumination and decoration of the temple.

En su interior se encuentra la nave central soportada por columnas circulares de aproximadamente 6 metros de altura y terminadas en capiteles de arte jónico, caracterizados por poseer en sus extremos una especie de voluta en forma de espiral que las hacen muy decorativas.
Las columnas soportan un techo en arco semi circular de concreto y pintado de blanco con decoraciones en relieve moldeadas con yeso y pintadas de amarillo ocre.
Es impresionante el acabado de las columnas circulares con mármol gris en toda su altura. Este mármol también decora las paredes hasta cierta altura, lo cual le da belleza y sobriedad al ambiente.
Entre el techo y las columnas se encuentran ventanales a cada lado de la nave central decorados con vitrales multicolores donde se pueden leer pasajes de la biblia y funcionan como iluminación y a la vez decoración del templo

The benches where the parishioners sit are made of mahogany wood and were recently restored because many people scratch and damage them.

The altar and the ambons where mass is celebrated are also made of marble. The floors are made of white granite with gold-colored metal strips.

Los bancos donde se sienta la feligresía están hechos de madera de caoba y recientemente fueron restaurados porque muchas personas se dan a la tarea de rayarlos y dañarlos.
El altar y los ambones donde se celebra la misa también están hechos de mármol. Los pisos son de granito blanco con flejes metálicos en color dorado.

The sacristy has very well preserved brown ceramic floors, furniture, desks, closets made of wood and paintings and relics as decoration on the walls.
