Una vez mas con ustedes para compartirles mi experiencia con el mantenimiento del aire acondicionado tipo split de 12000 BTU de mi habitación, que se le hizo la semana pasada.

Hace ya varias semanas que el aire acondicionado de la habitación principal comenzó a botar mucha agua y a emitir sonidos raros, lo cual me indicó que era tiempo de hacerle mantenimiento, pero en ese momento no contaba con los recursos para manda a hacer el trabajo, por lo cual mi esposa y yo nos mudamos al otro cuarto donde se funcionaba el aire. Ella no tolera dormir sin aire y eso la desvela, yo por mi parte puedo dormir con calor y hasta en el suelo sin problemas.

Les confieso que la experiencia no fue tan mala porque el aire en esa habilitación enfría bastante y ese cuarto es muy cómodo, aunque la cama es mas blanda que la de nuestra habitación, pero en fin es bueno cambiar de cama de vez en cuando, aunque sea en la propia casa.

Al fin llamamos al técnico para que le hiciera mantenimiento al aire de nuestra habitación y al del cuarto de mi hija que también estaba comenzando a derramar agua.
Cuando le quitaron la tapa se veian los filtros tapados de sucio y la bandeja estaba colmada de agua ya con mal olor.

El mantenimiento consiste en limpiar el serpentín, la bandeja y el desagüe utilizando un desengrasante, que en este caso es uno marca satélite llamado split cleaner, especialmente para aires tipo split.

El técnico tapó la tarjeta con plástico para evitar que se mojara, esto es lo más importante y utilizó un hidrojet manual para inyectar agua a presión.

Si la tarjeta se moja se puede dañar y seria desastroso el resultado.

Lo demás fue secar y volver a armar.

El trabajo se completa desarmando y limpiando con agua a presión la colmena y base del condensador que se encuentra en la azotea.

En realidad no es complicado hacer este trabajo pero hay que contar con el equipo mínimo que seria un hidrojet manual, un secador, una escalera y herramientas menores. Además hay que ser meticuloso para no mojar la tarjeta, como ya lo he mencionado. Así que si no cuenta con lo indicado, mejor llame a un técnico y evitará males mayores.
