Todas las personas por el solo hecho de ser seres humanos estamos capacitados para vivir siempre buscándole un sentido a nuestra existencia, no solo pensando en nosotros mismos sino también pensando en el bienestar de los demás. Así veo yo lo que conocemos como espiritualidad.

Por lo tanto es algo que ya tenemos y solo necesitamos cultivarlo y desarrollarlo para convertirlo en una condición de vida. De ahí la razón por la que algunas veces nos topamos con alguien desconocido en la calle y notamos que tiene algo que lo hace diferente a los demás. Por la forma en que se expresa, por cómo te trata y como afronta su vida, decimos entonces que esa persona es muy "espiritual" sin ser necesariamente alguien religioso.

Normalmente la espiritualidad la asociamos a Dios y esto tiene su razón de ser. En el libro del Génesis podemos leer: "Entonces Dios, el Señor, modeló al hombre de arcilla del suelo, sopló en su nariz aliento de vida y el hombre se convirtió en un ser viviente" (Gn 2,7)

All people, by the mere fact of being human beings, are able to live always looking for a meaning to our existence, not only thinking about ourselves but also thinking about the welfare of others. This is how I see what we know as spirituality.
Therefore, it is something we already have and we only need to cultivate and develop it to make it a condition of life. Hence the reason why sometimes we run into someone we don't know on the street and we notice that he has something that makes him different from the others. By the way he expresses himself, by the way he treats you and how he faces his life, we then say that this person is very “spiritual” without necessarily being someone religious.
Normally we associate spirituality with God, and this has a reason to be. In the book of Genesis we can read: “Then God, the Lord, fashioned man out of clay from the ground, breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being” (Gen 2:7).

Conozco muchas personas que no van a la iglesia y la espiritualidad les brota por los poros y también conozco a muchas personas muy dedicadas al servicio en la iglesia pero que no saben cultivar su espiritualidad y por ende no demuestran tenerla.

Hay un tipo muy importante de espiritualidad que es la espiritualidad en el matrimonio. Muchas personas se casan sin saber que el matrimonio es un sacramento de servicio. No solo para servir a tu esposa o esposo, sino también servir a la comunidad donde te desenvuelves.

But, as I said at the beginning, a person does not have to be a religious person to have spirituality. I know many people who do not go to church and spirituality oozes out of their pores and I also know many people who are very dedicated to service in the church but who do not know how to cultivate their spirituality and therefore do not show that they have it.
There is a very important type of spirituality which is spirituality in marriage. Many people get married without knowing that marriage is a sacrament of service. Not only to serve your wife or husband, but also to serve the community in which you live.

Los cónyuges hacen un juramento de fidelidad y ayuda mutua, es decir cada uno debe hacer feliz al otro. Ya no piensan como dos personas, sino que ahora se unifican los pensamientos y las acciones para lograr la tan buscada felicidad. Por esta razón la gente le tiene miedo al sacramento del matrimonio huyéndole al "compromiso" y deciden vivir juntos y cuando ya no se soporten pues cada quien toma su rumbo y ya.

Sin embargo, el solo hecho de compartir una vida juntos ya implica un compromiso y exige practicar la espiritualidad conyugal, pues nadie se casa para ser infeliz, sino para tener una compañía duradera que nos apoye y nos ayude a tener una mejor vida.

En conclusión, ser espiritual implica ser empático, buscar la felicidad y el bienestar de los demás, saber mirar a donde vamos y ver siempre el lado bueno de las situaciones. Y si queremos recargar nuestra espiritualidad debemos nutrirnos con la palabra de Dios y hacer de la oración nuestra herramienta fundamental para nuestro diario vivir.

They no longer think as two people, but now they unify their thoughts and actions to achieve the much sought-after happiness. For this reason people are afraid of the sacrament of marriage, fleeing the “commitment” and decide to live together and when they can no longer stand each other, each one takes his or her own course and that's it.
However, the mere fact of sharing a life together already implies a commitment and requires practicing marital spirituality, because no one gets married to be unhappy, but to have a lasting companion to support us and help us to have a better life.
In conclusion, being spiritual implies being empathetic, seeking the happiness and well-being of others, knowing how to look where we are going and always seeing the good side of situations. And if we want to recharge our spirituality we must nourish ourselves with the word of God and make prayer our fundamental tool for our daily life.
