Splinterlands - power of gladius monsters - katrella gobson

The splinterlands battles these days are more harder with more and more players getting into the game and if i win one battle, i keep losing 2 and i am not leveling up.

I keep trying to level up and i still have a hope that i reach gold leagues one day with modern format.

Coming bac to the topic of this blog, here want to share a battle with gladius monster and show why gladius monsters are powerful and add value to the regular ranked battles as well.

The monster i am going to talk about in this battle is the earth splinter gladius monster of katrella gobson and i always rate it higher than quora towershead and i show in this battle why i do so.

Katrella gobson is a melee attack monster from gladius cards we have which are earned as part of guild token earned and we spend the same in shop to get these cards under Shop --> Guild option using the merits earned for competing in brawl battles.

The specialty of katrella gobson is that, it can attack 2 times in each round and always targets the last monster on the lineup due to it being a sneak attack monster.

Since it's a bloodlust monster like other gladius monsters, it can get increased stats every time it removes a monster and that makes it more dangerous and even quora towershead can be taken down when katrella gobson is on song.

The battle i am sharing is 47 mana cap limit battle as we can see from above screenshot and had a single ruleset of return fire and as we can also see, my opponent too used the same summoner i used and instead of katrella gobson, he used quora towershead in the first position.

I am sharing the lineup i used for this battle as below:

1. Pelacor mercenary:

Pelacor mercenary being a healing tank, i normally use this in first position as and when i battle with earth splinter and i used the same in this battle too.

The level 7 monster i have is with 3 melee attack and 1 armor and 10 health and more importantly, it is a healing tank and also a flying monster.

2. Bramble pixie:

I used this level 1 monster in second position as it is with 3 melee attack and is a reach ability monster to attack from second position and has good health of 8 although speed is less at 1.

3. Fungus flinger:

Used this martyr ability monster which can increase the stats for adjacent monsters when it dies and since i planned to use katrella gobson, i used this monster.

It can even blind the opponent's monsters and make them miss to attack and it also gives 1 ranged attack.

4. Katrella gobson:

Katrella gobson is the monster i had planned to talk in this blog and this monster is my favorite among the gladius monsters we have just because of it's dual attack with bloodlust ability and i rate this higher than the quora towershead.

5. Goblin Psychic:

Used this tank healer monster with magic attack as this can even reduce the magic attack of monsters used by opponent with silence ability and can even stop the healing from the monster it attacks with it's affliction ability.

6. Mycelic slipspawn:

Last on my lineup is the taunt ability monster of mycelic slipspawn and this is specially used in this position to divert all the attack towards it for being taunt ability monster and can help pelacor mercenary and other monsters to finish off from the front position and with katrella gobson taking on monsters from backend, it's always a nice thing to use this monster in last position.

So, that was the lineup for me and i won the battle rather comfortably and quora towershead used by opponent in the front position couldn't survive much because all other monsters were attacking mycelic slipspawn and I had a nice win as i share the link above.

It's always good to use gladius monsters in ranked battle and win more battles.
