When a friend decides to loan money from you to start or expand a business, he or she may later pay you back, at least you have hope of something in the future. But if it is a friend who just take loan from you to survive, that person might find it hard to pay you back, for they will spend it and have nothing to account for the money given to them.

The fact is that those friends who only borrow money from you just to survive will start avoiding you when they cannot pay you back, or they will start a quarrel with you, and at the end you will lose both the friendship and your money.

You should avoid lending money to friends who are not trustworthy or responsible. If you allow over familiarity to make you lend money to this kind of friends, you might regret it later, because it will definitely end in tears. When such a friend come to ask from you a loan, just say no. And if your denial of giving the loan ends the friendship, just know that that friend is not trustworthy and his or her intentions was not to pay back.

Whether loan or no loan, a friend who want to stay will stay. If you find a person not worthy of your money, just say no to the person, even if you decide to be kind, it might not still end well. Money has caused lots of problems within friends, the best thing to do is just avoid it by saying no at first, so that it not lead to a bigger problem at last.
