Visiting Paniangan Water Dam in Paniangan Manticao, Misamis Oriental

Greetings worldmappin travelers, another wonderful and enjoyable day I have today, and my destination was in Paniangan Water Dam. This place is very perfect for doing a travel adventure because of some wonderful place can be seen and found here. This river is also part of Manticao and it connects lots of places here at the Municipality. This Water Dam was been built many years ago and it is made of solid concrete and a curved shape structures. But before we proceed to my travel post, allow me to share the exact location of the Water Dam. It will be better to know the exact location so that it will be very easy to locate.

Paniangan Water Dam Location:

Paniangan Water Dam is located at Barangay Paniangan, Manticao Misamis Oriental. It is built at Manticao River and quitely far away from Barangay Road and some houses in the Barangay. This Dam is surrounded with big mountains, trees and other wild plants. There are also some corn farm areas can be seen and found in here. From Barangay Poblacion, it needs to travel a few minutes riding on different kinds of pasenger vehicles like motorcycles, tricycles. The travel fair cost 20 Pesos each.

Near at the top of the Water Dam is the shallow water. Lots of fish swim in this place and some of the residents here are having fun catching lots of fish for their meals. This is a perfect spots for catching lots of fish because of the shallow water at the river. Lots of wild grass grows at the cliff and some big trees gives a shady areas at the river.

In order for the cliff of not being colapses or eroded due to big floods, they also built this concrete flood control walls at the cliff. It helps the cliff holds intact and not eroded. On each side of the flood control walls is the indications and measures of how deep will the flood will be. It helps to alert everyone who lives near at the river for doing an immediate evacuations.

Near at the Water Dam is this unique built steel bridge. Tit builts durable supported with big cables that holds the structures. This bridge is connected to other place of Paniangan and it can help for those residents who lives to the other side of the Barangay. The floors is made of flat metals and a wires that serve as a fence so everyone will be safe to crosses by.

Below of the Dam is the concrete river beds, it keep the dam in intact even if their is a flood and the structure wont be destroyed because of this concrete floors at the river. There is also a concrete staircase near at the dam so that it can easily went down to the river. Irrigation systems also connected and attached in here that supports lots of water to the rice field.

If we talked about trees, this place is full of lots of big trees. Most of it are Molave and acasia trees. This place is also a camping site to all visitors who loves to do camping and spend lots of time here. Lots of wild animals like birds can also be seen here and some wild plants and flowerd grows in here. This trees was already grows many years already and it already grows big and wide.

Corn field can also be found here near at the Water Dam. A plain place full of coconut trees and corm plants grows in the place. Agricultural activities is the most popular here at the Province. This is also one of their Primary source of income here in Barangay Paniangan. This Dam in Paniangan , Manticao, Misamis Oriental helps to control the water current and aside of that it helps and contribute lots of water to the field by irrigation.
