Vaccination Activities Here In Our Barangay
Just this morning, there were more mothers who wanted to vaccinate their children, and most of the time it was just babies. It is also good for the Health center staff to start listing the babies to be vaccinated early so that it can be completed early. In order not to confuse everyone, they were given Numbers to follow and not get confused in the queue. First, the children were weighed to determine their weight and in order not to crowd inside, chairs were placed outside the Health Center so that the mothers of the children to be vaccinated would not have a hard time.
They also provided a form and guide for raising children. These are my records where the size and weight of the child is written every day of vaccination. Here I will also know if the child is malnourished or underweight according to his age or month. This is also where the scheduled vaccination days are written including the name of the vaccine injected into the child.
All mothers are busy carrying their children so as not to cry. The others waited patiently for their number given by the staff of the said health center. The children who were vaccinated really felt the fear and others were crying profusely. The others are fed to alleviate the children's fear.
Before the injection, the children's mothers were instructed on what to do when the child has been given the vaccine. They list the dos and don'ts once the child's vaccinations are over. They were also told the name of the medicine that would be injected into the children as well as the good it would bring them.
After everything was explained, the teaching of the children began. Because it hurts, there is really no child who does not cry even when he is asleep. It helps them stay away from disease and maintain their good health and safety.
Those who have been vaccinated at the Health Center have also created a record so that it is easy to find the child's record or identity when going for a check-up at their office. This is also a way to get benefits from the government such as PhilHealth and others.
Vaccination of children has been successfully completed. With the help of BHWs or Barangay Health Workers, the queuing and assistance to them was arranged. BHW's work with BNS and other Barangay personnel here in our area and I really thankful to them for their good service.
Immunization of our child is very important. It is available and free in our barangay instead of having it in private doctor that it costs a lot. Such a great help and save us from any costly vaccination.
That is true and we are so very thankful to it.
