Shoreline Situation at Lugait Misamis Oriental, Pile Of Garbage Due To Bad Weather
When I got there, this was what exposed me, a huge pile of garbage that came from the neighboring area. Because of the strong waves, the garbage was washed away in the area. Plastics, wood and other garbage ended up on the beach. According to the Barangay Officials, they will conduct a clean up drive activity when the strong winds and waves subside. This is an effect of the previous typhoon that pulls wind and clouds. A large-scale cleaning is sure to take place because of the large amount of garbage here.
To this day, the waves are still strong and large, which bring garbage to the beach. The place is noisy because of the water hitting the big rocks here on the beach.
You can see in the picture that I took the huge cloud from far away. Maybe in my area where there are clouds there must be heavy rain or rough weather here. But even though the condition of the place is like this, it's still beautiful here especially with the clouds and sun that has already set.
As I was in the middle of my journey I noticed this man who was busy looking for clams. Since I came here, I noticed him in the distance as if he was looking for something in the rocks. So I actually approached the person and asked what he was looking for. Clams or seashell as we call them here. He said, it can only be seen on big rocks or maybe under the sand. He said he would only know when It have sand bulging on the surface.
I looked at the clams or clams he got and I was totally amazed at what I saw, he got only big ones and he said, their dinner dish is free. Even though the ocean is a bit rough, some people still come to hunt and find something to eat. Barangay Calangahan is abundant in this type of food, crabs, clams, kabebe, fish, shrimp and also what I call seaweeds.
In the distance, I saw these people lifting a boat and placing it on a high place so that the waves wouldn't catch it. The waves were big and strong so they thought of lifting it and putting it in a high place. They see each other's heroism or cooperation. It is a good custom of us Filipinos to sympathize and cooperate in all activities. I was totally amazed by what I saw and it was as if they were not burdened by the boat they were carrying.
My journey ended successfully. I'm just a little sad because of the situation in my area where there is a lot of garbage piled up on the edge of the beach. The once clean area has been replaced by a dirty one but it is not too late, the beauty of the area can be restored through the cooperation of each resident.
Its sad seeing a beautiful sea with full of garbage. Wala sanang ganito if only, mas disiplanado ang ibang people. Aigooo
That is true po.

So heartbreaking to look at some human waste that made it into the ocean. We dont deserve the beach.
So very sad to have this kind of situation here every bad weather happens in our place.
