Proof Of Brain Challenge [Trees] : The Most Common Trees Found In The Philippines, Particularly In Mindanao

Trees are very important here in the Planet and through this, the place will become cool and make us more relaxing. Aside of that, it helps to keep the soil intact and prevent from any landslide and flash floods. But not all of the kind of trees are found on every places or countries, its because of the weather suitable to all trees grows in cold or warm places. Here in Mindanao, there are several kinds of hard wood trees found in the Place and this will be my POB entry initiated by our friend @friendlymoose. I've been living in the Province for almost 30 Years and I already have some ideas and can Identified the name of the trees, and as for that I also share my ideas here in our community.

First of all, I will share my simple Ideas about what are the good benefits that trees gives to our surroundings. First, it keeps our place cool and fascinating, because of the green sceneries and a shady place. It keeps the soil moist and not getting dried even if there is an intense heat.

It can also helps balance the Ecosystem and those small animals like birds will have place to stay and layed their eggs and nest. Trees are really important to human life, particularly by construction porpuses BUT if we want to cut some trees for house porpuses, we should replace another young trees so that the place will maintain its green and cool sceneries. Aside of that, tree can help preventing floods and landslide, the roots of it will hold the moisten soil due to heavy rain and floods.

Some of The Trees Found Here In The Province:

This tree is what we called, NATIVE LANGAN TUGAS. A kind if hard wood tree good for making furniture porpuses. This is also perfect for making as a house foundation, walls and even floors. It grows and it lives for many years and in fact there are lots of Tugas trees here in our place and some of it are already sunken in the river. Tugas tree is good for firewood uses and it produce charcoal on it, the skin of this tree is good for decorations.

This is the Mahogany tree and it is also a good tree and lumber use for house and furniture porpuses. The color of this tree is red and it is good for making tables and chairs. This kind of tree grows taller and aside of that, the bark of this tree is always straight amd good for firewood porpuses those dry mahogany branches.

In local term we called this tree, KALOOT. It is good for making a match sticks and also wooden boxes use for storing dried fish and other products. This is not good for furniture uses and it can easily cut. It grows into a big tree and it can gives a cool and shading place because of its big leaves and wide branches.

Next is the BALETE tree. In folk tales and stories, they said that this kind of tree have an unexplained situations just like Element people who lives inside of this tree just like fairies and dwarfs. But that is a kind of stories from elder people. It produce more roots and vines and it can reach its roots below sea level so it means that this kind of tree is hard to collapse or leaning.

MACAU tree can also live and grows for many years. In all trees here in our place, this is the oldest tree we have here. Many people wants to buy and cut this tree but we disagreed of their request. We let this tree lives and grows and it helps us here back when a strong typhoon hit our place.

Last is the the ANTIPOLO tree. This is perfect for small boats making and wooden boxes for fruits and vegetables. Some companies like cement corporation make a wooden Piles out of this tree and stored the bags of cements. These are some of the trees can be found here in Mindanao and all of this are very important in our society.
