A Day in My Life Blog: Finally Met My Girlfriend's Grandmother - I am very Blessed! 😇🤗😊

It has been a great day for me and hopefully, everyone has a great day too. I am very grateful as finally I have been given a chance to meet my Girlfriend's Grandmother, and I am pleased to share it here in my "A Day in My Life" Blog.

Greetings first to all of us here in the community and all the admins and my Co-Hivers all over the world.

A day before I was informed by my girlfriend that her younger brother and her mother were planning to visit her Grandmother in the mountain part of Iligan City which is at Kabacsanan Iligan City.

At first, I was hesitant to go with them knowing that the weather conditions were not good at that moment but the other day, we thanked God that the weather was a bit good and it was not raining but it had a dark cloud but still, I have decided to go with them.

At around 10:00 in the morning, I had done all the things I needed to do, and I immediately prepared myself knowing that my girlfriend's younger brother and her mother were already waiting for me at the highway. Then after 10 minutes finally I am with them now and ready to travel which took us more or less an hour.

Finally, we had just arrived at the house of my girlfriend's grandmother who was alone at their house as her husband had already passed away, and she didn't want to leave the house she said, she was okay to stay alone rather than leave the house.

My girlfriend's grandmother is already 88 years old but her memory is sharp as young as 50 years old. She can also walk properly and can communicate with us properly with clear words.

At this time, my girlfriend's grandmother and her grandson are busy talking to each other. This will be the last time for them to band and talk as my girlfriend's younger brother will be leaving this Sunday for Abroad, in Japan and that's the reason we came here to spend time for the last time.

They were so nice to look at knowing that I don't have grandparents already on both sides of my family, and they were so close to each other. I enjoyed listening to them while they were talking and sometimes, I joined them in the conversation.

While we were busy talking, my girlfriend's mother was also busy cooking our food for lunch. We just bought some groceries before we came here so we could give something to my girlfriend's grandmother and also for our lunch.

After a while, some of the children of my girlfriend's grandmother came and joined us. This is also an opportunity to finally meet them, especially my girlfriend's grandmother as this is the first to meet and know them, and I am very thankful to God for what happened today.

Knowing that the weather was not that good, at around 4:00 in the afternoon we decided to go back home as we needed to travel for almost an hour.

Before we went home, we never missed the opportunity to take pictures most especially of my girlfriend's grandmother. I never missed the moment to have a picture with her as a remembrance.

We then go home and are thankful that we went home safely and very blessed for everything that happened. This was indeed one of the most important and unforgettable experiences for me as finally, I met my girlfriend's grandmother, and I can feel that I am very welcome with their family.

I praise and thank God for I am very much welcome to the family of my girlfriend and I am always welcome every time I go to their place and bond with them.
