¡Feliz inicio de semana! Continuando con mis aventuras en la capital, les cuento que en nuestra visita al teleférico warairarepano nos ofrecieron un paseo(con costo adicional) a un pueblito super lindo, ubicado en la ladera norte del cerro El Ávila, llamado Galipán. Fueron muchas cosas positivas las que había escuchado sobre este lugar, además de que el clima es idóneo, sé que cuenta con varias posadas con mucha popularidad, buenos restaurantes, el museo de las piedras, variedad de artesanías, y pare de contar.... Así que les contaré mi experiencia, y si llenó mis expectativas.

Continuing with my adventures in the capital, I tell you that in our visit to the Warairarepano cable car we were offered a ride (with additional cost) to a super nice little town, located on the northern slope of El Avila hill, called Galipan. There were many positive things I had heard about this place, besides that the climate is ideal, I know that it has several popular inns, good restaurants, the museum of the stones, a variety of handicrafts, and stop to tell .... So I will tell you my experience, and if it fulfilled my expectations.
| Cuando subes por el teleférico y llegas al área de la camineria en lugar de seguir la ruta normal, vas a caminar al contrario y te encontrarás con varios jeeps estacionados que son los encargados de bajarte hasta el pueblo de Galipán. Ellos tienen una tarifa por el servicio ida y vuelta(cuyo monto no recuerdo), que tienes que pagar en efectivo y te indicarán la hora en que debes estar listo para el retorno. | When you go up the cable car and arrive at the walkway area, instead of following the normal route, you will walk the other way and you will find several parked jeeps that are in charge of taking you down to the town of Galipán. They have a fee for the round trip service (the amount I don't remember), which you have to pay in cash and they will tell you the time when you should be ready to return. |
El tiempo que dura el recorrido es entre 10 o 15min aproximadamente, y te advierto que no es lo más cómodo del mundo, ya que hay muchas piedras y pasas todo el rato dando pequeños saltos en el carro 😅. Eso si, apenas bajes te vas a encontrar con diferentes sitios para comer, así que tómate tu tiempo para comparar los menús y sus precios, en nuestro caso decidimos caminar primero por el área.
The tour lasts about 10 to 15 minutes, and I warn you that it is not the most comfortable thing in the world, as there are many stones and you spend all the time jumping around in the cart 😅. Of course, as soon as you get off you will find different places to eat, so take your time to compare menus and prices, in our case we decided to walk around the area first.
| Una vez que iniciamos la exploración del lugar nos encontramos con una pequeña posada que ofrece paseos a caballo,aunque no es una actividad con la que me siento cómoda, para aquellos que si están de acuerdo ya saben que pueden disfrutar de esta. Por otro lado, les recomiendo ir con zapatos cómodos porque les tocará caminar un poco, pero vale la pena, ya que la arquitectura de este pueblo es muy linda; me encantó ver sus casitas estilo colonial. | Once we started exploring the place we found a small inn that offers horseback riding, although it is not an activity with which I feel comfortable, for those who agree you know that you can enjoy this. On the other hand, I recommend you to go with comfortable shoes because you will have to walk a little, but it is worth it, since the architecture of this town is very nice; I loved to see its colonial style houses. |
Otra cosa muy cool es que si te gustaría comprar recuerdos para tus seres queridos vas a encontrar infinidad de opciones en artesanías, de hecho, hay tanta variedad que te va a costar elegir 1 sola cosa. Ellos ofrecen tazas, llaveros, muñecas de trapo, instrumentos musicales, manteles, en fin... Y van desde los $2 en adelante, así que seguro encuentras algo que se ajuste a tu presupuesto.
Another very cool thing is that if you would like to buy souvenirs for your loved ones you will find an infinite number of options in crafts, in fact, there is so much variety that you will have a hard time choosing just one thing. They offer mugs, key chains, rag dolls, musical instruments, tablecloths, in short.... And they range from $2 and up, so you're sure to find something that fits your budget.
| Lastimosamente no pudimos recorrer todo el pueblo, porque subimos algo tarde y todavía nos faltaba comer, pero lo que vimos nos sirvió para entusiasmarnos a volver y hacer un tour completo. Entonces cerramos la salida con una rica comida familiar, donde probamos la cachapa con queso y el sándwich de pernil, que son platillos muy populares en la zona, terminando nuestro recorrido como dice el dicho: "Barriga llega, corazón contento" 🤗 | Unfortunately we were not able to visit the whole town, because we went up a little late and we still had to eat, but what we saw was enough to make us enthusiastic to return and do a complete tour. Then we closed the outing with a delicious family meal, where we tasted the cachapa with cheese and the pernil sandwich, which are very popular dishes in the area, ending our tour as the saying goes: "Barriga llega, corazón contento" 🤗. |

Mi esposo le compró una muñequita de trapo a su sobrina para que se la llevara de recuerdo, porque son parte de la cultura venezolana de antaño y cuando se vive en otro país es bueno tener cosas que te recuerden tu origen ❤️
